I've often wondered that myself! They should be getting pulled over all the time for upuan sinturon violation! Maybe it's a particular mindset associated with the car. Hardly anyone used upuan belts back then, so maybe Kripke was going for that look of "freedom" associated with cars from that era. But they really should wear them!!

Yes!

The most common upuan sinturon are the lap belts (belts without a shoulder harness) both 2 in the front and 2 back seat.

Why it doesn't ipakita them actually clipping them on is something I can only speculate!

Yes, it's definitely possible that they are wearing them - they're quite easy to put on. The car definitely has lap belts though, the picture attached above is of the actual Hero car!

I just realised, the episode "Baby" from season 11 might actually ipakita Sam put his sinturon on! I can't remember clearly, but I'm pretty sure.
