This can't be happening, I thought. Although I was pretty much swept away sa pamamagitan ng the sight of Duncan, I was horrified too. I mean, after like a decade of loneliness, waiting for him to call or something, he finally shows up? Alright, I admit him pag-awit to me is kinda sweet, especially since he dreads it. At the end of the song, I'm sure he wanted me to say something like, "Oh thats so sweet!" or "Oh I missed you so much!" But I'm determined not to let my joy show. "Thought you hated singing!" I called to him. He shrugged and slung the gitara over his back again. "I do," he replied back smoothly, and from 6 stories away, I could still make out the gleam in his eyes. "So, are you coming down or am I coming up?" My eyes widen slightly and I glance behind me, wincing at the catastrophe I called my room. "Umm... Be down in a few!" I answered back and shut the window hard before he could say anything else or protest. I rush to my closet and started to strip, throwing off my tapis and exchanging my worn and tattered palda and sando for something madami 'chic.' After that, I applied some eyeliner, mascara, tial lipstick and made my way downstairs. I pushed open the door and was startled and completly caught off gaurd when I saw Duncan standing literally a foot away from the entrance. My eyes widen and lock with his as I'm playing with my skirt. "Hi," I say meekly, wondering if I should forgive him or not. He grins and I hold my breath slightly when he gets really close, and I mean really close. As in, an invasion of my personaly bubble. "Hey," he says, then I take a step back. "So, what are you doing here?" I say, trying to keep my tone light, and even a little bored at that. Duncan shrugs and simply responds, "Thought we could catch up or something. You know, like old times." I scoff and gave a grim laugh. "Old times? madami like pre-historic! I haven't seen you in years! I tried calling, texting and everything. I asked Geoff if he knew where you were but he sinabi he didn't know. And now, you have the nerve to ipakita up?" I'm breathless when I finish and am slightly ticked when he shrugs again and says, "Pretty much." When he sees the scowl on my face, he gets a bt madami a tender and I can feel the atmosphere around us changing. "Come on. If the song didn't make it up to, maybe I can take you out sometime? Maybe, now?" I gape slightly the force a smile. 99% of me is screaming Just go with it! But that small 1% is teeling me to play hard to get. "Well, I don't know," I say in a drawling voice. "I'm kinda busy." Duncan pauses. "Kind of?" he repeats. I nod then curse myself for not choosng my words wisely. "Ehh I think you have time," he decided , then took my hand and pulled me with him, towards the dark alley besides my apartment building. "Where are we going?" I ask, knowing I had no say in this. "You'll see," he sinabi with a grin and before I knew it, I was standing in front of a shiny red motorcycle. I blink as Duncan hands me a helmet and gets on. "Well? You ready sunshine?"
