It was called Ratings: ‘Good Wife’ Series Finale Draws Biggest Audience Since Nov. 14 | TVLine
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
wrapped its seven-season run on Sunday night with 10.6 million total viewers and a 1.3 rating (per finals), up 14 percent and three tenths week-to-week to mark its biggest audience since Nov. 9, 2014 and a four-month demo high.
TVLine readers gave the series finale an average grade of “C-“ and the series as a whole a “B+.”

(10 mil/1.0) was flat with its Season 2 finale, while
(5.5 mil/0.7) dipped a tenth with its Season 4 finale.

(2.6 mil/0.7) tied its smallest audience thus far while down a tenth in the demo, and
(3.5 mil/0.9) ticked down to match its demo low. Next Sunday, all three dramas air their season finales.

Nice that The Good Wife did so well also nice that OUAT was steady but their other dramas not so good.
Wow, November 2014 was four months ago already? Time sure flies…
This is awkward. Who wants to help out MMSS with the actual reporting…?
Pay attention. The largest audience (10.5 million) since November 2014 and the highest demographic (18-49 years old) in 4 months.
November 2014 for total audience, 4 month high in the demo.
The Good Wife deserves to end in a very GOOD way after seven seasons. As for Quantico, my money’s on Liam since Day 1 as the traitor and who knows what will happen in next week’s season finale if Josh Hopkins’ character won’t make it towards Season 2.
I know people hated the finale of The Good Wife (I wasn’t one of them) and I get it since it was the series finale and all but Madam Secretary’s season finale was worse for me because it was so BORING. It was like some writer saw “Bridge of Spies” and said “That’s it, that’s the finale right there!”. At least MS can come back from that but TGW is all she wrote.
Honestly, since the beginning of comments sections, when were people happy with a series finale? People romanticize the finales pre internet as being great but in reality they aired during a time where people could comment about it, they would also most likely be hated. There seems to be this sense of entitlement about tv shows now. Everyone feels owed something that will cater to their individual desire which is impossibly ridiculous but as comment sections go, is a view point that does not seem like it will go away any time soon. The whole “I invested, I am therefore owed” is one of the most immature arguments in my opinion. No one forces someone to watch a show, you are doing it of your own free will. People are mixing up their choice to want to see something through with being some sort of requirement. Just like people seem to mix up stating their own opinions constantly as fact. The entertainment industry nowadays is a very thankless job. You’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
Bitten was pretty good, few others I can’t recall.
Wow, the voice of reason and logic! Thanks for speaking up, I agree with you completely. And since I can’t “like” your comment, I hope this will suffice👍👍👍
will there be weekly Penny Dreadful recaps from now on, TVline, plz? :)
Horrible ending to a series not returning ; shame on you Good Wife writers
Subtract the viewers who want to get that hour back and it would likely be TGW’s
Maybe if the show would have been moved to a week night it would have had those ratings all along. It is one of the best drama’s on TV for a very long time. The writers, in my opinion had a lot to do with its ending.
