It's actually the only one I really enjoyed. I'm sure I'd like it even more if it were in a different musical...pertaining to two entirely different characters.

Devil Take the Hindmost isn't bad either, and Dear old Friend is nice as well, but over all none of them were spectacularly awe inspiring.

Gustave's consant "Yeeesss..." during the Beauty Underneath makes me squirm, I feel like my mind's being violated with bad Phantom incest/creepy pedo vibes. The beauty underneath...your trousers. Man that is so inappropriate...

At any rate, half the songs are pure, unadulterated trash, the other half are pretty or nice enough, but nothing compared to the original show.

I almost picked Til I Hear You Sing, because it actually has grown on me a bit, mostly due to Ramin being able to sell it pretty well. The only problem is that it gets insanely overused (ALW trademark #1!) and that there were at LEAST 3 times when it was being rehashed as this epic lush instrumental that I was just waiting for Norma Desmond to come sweeping in. On a completely random note, does ALW think that absolutely nobody at all saw/listened to Woman in White? Some of Gustave's music was a straight rip of Seduction. I'm not talking one or two measures, I mean large chunks of phrasing!

...Okay, on topic: I actually can't choose my favorite song. There were five or so that I really loved, and the rest of them were... well, crap. The five are "Dear Old Friend", "Beneath a Moonless Sky", "Devil Take the Hindmost", "Look With Your Heart", and "The Ayrie".

I also liked the Raoul bits of "Ah, Christine..." and "Before the Performance".

...Anywho, I went ahead and chose Beneath the Moonless Sky. JustHuddy, The Beauty Underneath has grown on me. But Gustave's constant 'Yes's just make me cringe. The bootleg I've heard was much better, for me, because the Gustave sounded chirpy and kidlike and not... orgasmic?

Only for Him has grown on me, as well.

On topic: I would like these songs a whole lot more if they were involved in any other show. Like "Beneath a Moonless Sky". It's pretty-- but the subject matter makes me cringe.

I love 'Til I Hear You Sing. That one is probably my favorite. Other faves are Beneath A Moonless Sky, The Beauty Underneath,Devil Take The Hindmost & Bathing Beauty(even though I don't buy how they've portrayed Meg!). Obviously though none of these songs compare to the ones in the original.

My personal favorite is Beneath a Moonless Sky, but I rather enjoyed Dear Old Friend, Love Never Dies, and Till I hear you sing. Ramin's vocals throughout the album are Superb! Almost exactly as I pictured Erik would sing.

I want to see the musical, but I doubt that the story is any good, besides the music. The pictures of the set and such were rather good though, and Christine's look is fabulous, though I don't think Sierra Burgess is a strong enough Christine.

I picked dear old friend because with all of the people singing different things at the same time rem inds me of Prima Donna,

Beneath A Moonless Sky has trashy lyrics in my opinon.
I kind of like Once Upon Another Time but I had to choose Till I Hear You Sing.

I just like Before the Performance because there is a nice 'Till I Hear You Sing Reprise... for the third time (you are totally right, Phantomess). But Ramin Karimloo sings it beautifully, so it kind of sort of makes up for it. I also like the little reprise of Twisted Every Way... YES, it is not worthy for Love Never Dies, but it's my comfort zone, and Primma Donna is actually one of my favorite Phantom 1 melodies. Although, my other favorites from LND are TIHYS, Devil Take The Hindmost (especially the reprise) and Once Upon Another Time.

I kinda liked the Heaven By the Sea there are two of them and I was sad when they took them out, I bet they were quite good to see as well..
As for Beneath a Moonless Sky.. I like the song not the lyrics.. "And I took you" .. really?
Otherwise I cannot stand Bathing Beauty I skip it every time.. and Beauty Underneath is really creepy

Till I hear you sing was the first and best song that I heard from LND, though I like the second part of only for you (when the phantom ISN'T singing, he just makes it awkward) Beauty Underneath is my second fav, and devil take the hindmost, Love never dies is good too. I can't stand Bathing Beauty or Dear old Friend ><
