Mike hurried up to Debra’s hotel room. He tried for the door, but it was locked. A maid walked out of a distant room and Mike quickly walked to her.
“Hi, could you open that door for me, please?” he asked soft but urgent. “I’m from the FBI” he added. “Hang on, I’ll ipakita you my badge”
After ipinapakita her his FBI card the maid walked to Deb’s room and unlocked it. “Thank you” Mike said. He slowly pushed the door open while he held up his gun.
He entered the room and looked around to see if there was anything unusual. Well, there was the corpse of a waiter, but there was no sign of Debra at first sight. Mike prayed she had found a way to escape her attacker.
“Debra?” he called as he walked further into the room. He looked from left to right to make sure there wasn’t anyone else in the room, besides him, Debra and the dead waiter. He would ulat the dead one once he was certain Deb was safe. And right now he could not be sure of that.
As he was reaching the end of the room he bumped into something edgy. He turned his head and realized he had hit another door. He opened it and found Debra lying on the floor.
“God, no, don’t be dead” Mike begged agitated as he ran inside the bathroom and crouched susunod to Deb’s still body. He checked her pulse and was relieved to find out she was alive. He started to pull her up to get her outside and get her some help.
However, not much could be done; Mike felt a heavy blow on his head and fell on tuktok of Debra.
