I laugh when people say it was a pity kiss. Who kisses someone out of pity????!!! It doesn't make sense. And the convo that DE had before the kiss also proves that it wasn't a pity kiss.

It was a bit of both. Pity, because he was dying. But anything more, than caring for him - her BOYFRIENDS BROTHER? No. She's NOT Katherine. After Stefans amazing REAL love for them both, anything they might have had.. doesn't compare and never will. IMHO.

For Elena, after two seasons of loving her as a strong female figure, I think the audience will now finally hopefully be receptive seeing her buy into what Katherine said, that it's ok for Elena to love both Stefan and Damon. - KW
so I guess some fans (such as yourself) won't be receptive lol. Not just care, but LOVE...otherwise it's not a triangle. She's cared about him for the past 2 seasons and now it's beyond that.

Well she wanted him to be "happy" as he died and have his dying wish as it were-so pity and a want to make him happy i guess-i mean if he was as right as reign she wouldn't just go and lay one on him! Whatever she shouldn't have.....

SO YEAH, NOT A PITY KISS.

People, it's not black or white ! it was both pity and a little more, it's a fucking triangle so yeah in a way or another Elena's feeling will be explored... but De fans please dont rule out the pity because there was definitly pity, she was saying exactly what he needed to hear, he was dying, and it was more because if she didnt liked him she wouldnt have even taked the time to say those things for making him feel better and "happy". She was sad, so of course she feel for him...

^^No one is looking more into it/ denying what the kiss was or anything. JP & ND have said more than once that the kiss wasnt about pity at all. It was something Elena needed to do, & shes gonna have to deal with the repercussions/feelings of what she did. Shes to struggle with a growing attraction for Damon, & the *loving both brohters* idea will be on her mind. KW said this. Not gonna doubt what the writers & actors themselves said.

that's what i said, Elena's FEELINGS will be explored, and the producers even said themselves season 3 will be about Elena's attraction for Damon.

lmao i don't even know why i even bother...next season they'll be making out and i bet people will try to downplay it like "she's in shock over Stefan leaving and doesn't know what she's doing"

ahahahah. well you cant count out the factor Stefan. but i really doubt they will go there, it would ruin it all. Sadly it's not true blood x)

So funny how Bamon fans say Elena will NEVER love Damon as much as she loves Stefan, But they are 100% sure that Damon will love Bonnie MORE than Elena.
