Maybe it s me , but it seems like Stefan is always getting the credit for everything . Like in Rose when Damon staked Elijah. One more thing - for me, if Damon wasn't supposed to save Elena, making them meet first at the night of accident basically DIDN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. We were told that Stefan saved her, becasue he was watching her for a while. If so, he also should have seen Elena meeting Damon, so 1) he'd interfer FOR SURE 2)he'd known Damon is in the town. He didn't so he didn't also see their meeting. So what, then he magically appeared at the bridge? It would so much more logical for Damon to follow Elena & save her. If that wasn't the plan - why on earth didn't they meet another noght? One, two days before?
