Damon and Elena are the most interesting couple on TVD. Period. Any motion that I might start to ship Stelena went when I saw no heat between them in 2x01/02. But as Katherine said, hate is the beginning of most pag-ibig stories. It was no surprise that we ended the episode with Elena saying “I hate him.” - KW. Klaus sinabi about them that "love like that never dies" i think this is very true, its eternal for Stefan where as Damon no doubt loves her but he has spent the last 146 years obsessing about another girl and it seems that he just looked for the susunod best thing when he found out he couldn't have Katherine. Also I think we see how much Stefan really loves Elena for Elena and not just that she looks like Katherine because he can instantly tell them apart, whereas Damon cant, to me this says that alot of damon's feelings are about looks.

All Stelena fans can take comfort in the fact that in the END we know that it will be Elena & Stefan <3
