Paul Thomas Wasilewski (born July 23, 1982), known professionally as Paul Wesley, is an American actor, best known for his roles Stefan Salvatore in The CW TV series The Vampire Diaries and as Aaron Corbett in the ABC Family miniseries Fallen.
Wesley was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey to Polish parents Agnieszka and Thomas Wasilewski, and grew up in Marlboro, New Jersey. He has one older sister, Monika, and two younger sisters, Julia and Leah. In addition to English, he also knows Polish, having spent four months every taon in Poland until the age of 16.
Wesley attended Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, New Jersey and Marlboro High School for a period during his high school years. During his junior taon in high school, Wesley was cast in the soap opera Guiding Light as character Max Nickerson. He transferred from Marlboro High School to Lakewood Prep School in Howell, New Jersey because the school was able to accommodate his pagganap schedule. He graduated from there in 2000 and then started college at Rutgers but left after one semester with his parents' support when madami roles were offered to him and he realized he could make a career out of acting.
In 2005, he began to credit himself as Paul Wesley. When asked why he changed his professional name to Paul Wesley, he replied: "my birthname is too hard to pronounce! I asked my family's permission to change it, and it really helped my career."
He enjoys playing ice hockey and snowboarding. Wesley has also expressed an interest in directing and writing.
He has had a number of roles on shows such as 24, 8 Simple Rules, American Dreams, Army Wives, Cane, Everwood, Guiding Light, Smallville, The O.C. and lobo Lake. He also starred opposite Amber Tamblyn in CBS' The Russell Girl and had the lead role in Fallen miniseries.
Wesley is currently starring as vampire Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries which premiered September 2009 on The CW.

Elena’s doctor was driving on the road. There was not many traffic, so she’d be at work fast. Then she’d have some time to do some paperwork.
The radio was playing lame music, so she looked for a CD. While she put Switchfoot in the CD-player, she had her eyes off the road for two seconds. When she looked up again she screamed.
There was a woman standing in the middle of the road. She had long, dark blonde hair, green eyes and she looked rather pale.
The doctor braked and her car made a few turns before it stood still. Before she got out she needed to get her puso beat under control.
Her door opened and a familiar man appeared.
“Are you all right?” Alaric asked concerned.
The doctor nodded heavy, breathing fast.
“What happened?” Alaric asked.
She looked at Alaric, thinking he’d think she’s crazy.
“I thought I saw a ghost” she sinabi quickly as if it wouldn’t sound so insane if she sinabi it fast.

“What the hell is your problem?” Matt asked surprised.
“I can ask you the same question” Tyler hissed.
“I don’t get it” Matt sinabi confused.
“You need to knock it off” Tyler said. “Caroline doesn’t want you anymore, so you can stop with the annoying taxes”
“What taxes? Tyler, I have no idea what you’re talking about” Matt said.
Tyler pulled out his phone and showed Matt the tax he just got.
“Dude, that’s not even my number” Matt said.
“I know it’s hard to see me and Caroline together, but pagganap like a jealous ex-boyfriend isn’t going to put you back in her good books. So I think it’s best for both of us if you would just knock it off” Tyler threatened. He let go of Matt and left the restroom, leaving Matt dumbfounded.

On February 11, 2013, The CW renewed "The Vampire Diaries" for a fifth season.
