"Helia, son, there is no easy way to tell you this but you cannot be with Flora" His dad said

"What? Why?" Helia shouted, outraged

"You're betrothed to another girl"

"WHAT?!"

"Helia, I never knew you were engaged!" Flora said, looking at her boyfriend for answers

"Neither did I" Helia sinabi glaring at his parents, if looks could kill, both of them would be on the floor as dead as a well...a dead person.

"Listen son, we got you engaged so that it would help our family. You know we need money right now, if we don't get it then well...we would have to pull you out of Redfountain and get you to help us get at least enough money to keep a roof over our heads." Helia's father explained. Helia's face didn't even soften the slightest, if anything, it just got harder.

"If you told us about Dora here sooner then maybe this wouldn't have happened!" Helia's mother pointed out

"It's Flora ma'am"

"Yeah, yeah, sorry hun" She said, dissmissively waving her hand at Flora not really meaning it. That just made Helia angrier, he clenched his fists so hard his knuckes went a ghostly white. Flora noticed this and rubbed his arm soothingly, Helia calmed down a little but it wasn't enough to stop him from exploding.

"YOU DID KNOW I HAD A GIRLFRIEND! I sent you emails, I sent you letters, I called you, I texted you and what have you done? COMPLETELY IGNORE EVERYTHING!!!" He yelled

"Helia sweetie, calm down" Flora said. The sound of her voice was enough to make him stop fuming but Maya (Helia's mother) didn't like that at all

"Fauna he won't be your 'sweetie' any more, he's engaged and guess what cupcake? He's not engaged to you" Hurt, Flora looked down trying not to cry. Satisfied, Maya smirked and crossed her arms

"Mom, first of all, it's Flora, GET THAT IN YOUR HEAD! Second, I'm engaged to nobody and third...WE'RE LEAVING!!!" Helia declared, he took Flora's hand and they walked out of the house.

"Helia, why didn't you tell me that your family is struggling with money?" Flora asked "I could have helped you"

Helia sighed "I felt like I didn't need anyone's help and when my parents told me that they found a way to help our family, I thought that everything was fine and I sinabi that I was all for it. I never actually wanted anyone's sympathy, we're not poor, just having some difficult times with money"

Flora nodded understandingly "I get that but I'm your girlfriend Helia, you can trust me with anything"

"Yeah but you might have treated me differently and might rethink about dating the poor boy who might be pulled out of school"

"Helia did you really think that would happen? I don't care if your rich or poor, I didn't fall in pag-ibig with you because I thought you were rich or the fact you were Saladin's nephew, I fell in pag-ibig with a brave, loving, caring person that would do anything for the people he loves"

"And she plays the personality card" Helia joked, Flora laughed and playfully shoved him

"He was also really handsome and cute, better?" Flora asked, smiling

"Much"

"Soo..."

"Way to make a moment feel awkward Flora!" Helia sinabi playfully, Flora shoved him again while Helia laughed

"Helia! So do you know the name of the girl you're 'engaged' to?" Flora asked

"No, not really, I guess I stormed out before my parents had a chance to tell me"

Flora sighed "You need to talk to them"

"Are you crazy? Me to go back and face those heartless human beings?"

"Helia! They're your parents!"

"They sure don't act like parents" Flora sighed, Helia needs to talk to them, if I'm going to get him to then it's time for extremes

"Give it a try Helia? Please? For me?" Flora sinabi putting on her tuta dog eyes

"No, not the eyes! Not the eyes! I'll do anything for you, just not this one thing! You know I'm weak against the eyes! " Helia cried
Don't look at them, don't look at them...NO NO HELIA! DON'T LOOK! AH DAMMIT! YOU LOOKED! Great move, now you can't look away...OK you can do this...just don't fall under it's spell...they're so beautiful, a beautiful forest green, I could get Nawawala in them forever, maybe I...SNAP OUTTA IT! Focus Helia... focus.... f.o.c.u.s....

"OK FINE!" Helia shouted "Just PLEASE stop with the eyes!"

"I win!" Flora cried triamphuntly, Eye's 541, resistance 0

"Those eyes are a curse" Helia muttered

"Not to me!" Flora sinabi in a sing-song voice

In the Austen's house, Helia and Flora were sitting on the sopa holding holding hands nervously. Harold was siting in his walang kibo pagbaba his newspaper occasionally looking up with a hard look and Maya was standing susunod to him, just plain glaring at Flora.

"So mom..." Helia started, being the first one to break the silence "I wanted to talk to you about the uh...arranged marriage" Helia practically strained the word through his mouth with gritted teeth. When Maya heard her son say that she immediently looked away from Flora and looked at Helia with a hopeful look in her eyes. Maybe he's over that...thing over there! He's finally come around! HAHA! I can't believe he's going to dump her in front of us! She'll be so crushed! Come on Helia! Make it blunt and harsh!
Maya's cruel thoughts were interrupted sa pamamagitan ng her husband

"Well son? What about it?"

"Well uh I..." Helia realised then he didn't know what he was going to ask about it luckily his girlfriend noticed that and stepped in.

"What he's trying to say is, why did you plan this without asking him first?" Helia look at Flora gratefully but Maya was furious.

"I'll have you know young missy that my son can speak for himself! If you hadn't interrupted he would have finished!" Flora looked down blushing furiosly "Now Helia honey, you can finish"

"Flora already did" Helia sinabi trying not to storm out again

"Nora! You -"

"FLORA MOM! FLORA! WILL YOU PLEASE JUST LEAVE HER ALONE?!"

"I WISH I COULD! I WOULD pag-ibig TO JUST LEAVE HER ALONE AND NEVER SEE HER AGAIN WHICH IS THE REASON WHY YOU SHOULD DUMP HER!" Maya exploded, hearing this Flora got up murmered something that sounded like thank you for having me and she walked out and closed the door quietly.
Then she started running, tears flooding down her face. She didn't know where she was running but she knew she wanted to be far away from where she was right now Maybe Mrs. Austen was right...Helia should dump me so his family could get the money they need Suddenly Flora bumped into someone which interrupted her thoughts.

"Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry! I should've been looking where I was going! It's all my fa-"

"It's alright Flora!" Flora looked up wondering who it was and why he/she knew her name and who she saw brightened her mood

"Layla! I'm so happy I ran into you!" Literally Flora thought.

"Why? What's up?" Layla then noticed her tear stained face and Flora's watery, hurt jade eyes "What happened? Tell me everything"

"MOM!!!" Helia was absolutely furious with her "HOW COULD YOU? WHY ARE YOU SO HEARTLESS? I'LL BE LUCKY IF I EVER SEE HER AGAIN! I'LL NEVER FIND ANYONE LIKE HER!"

"Calm down Helia! I bet you'll change your mind when you meet your future wife!" Maya replied, totally unfazed sa pamamagitan ng her son's outburst. Helia raised his eyebrow and crossed his arms

"I really doubt that"

"Oh really? Acacia sweetie, come out now!" A fairly short girl with medium length black hair, dark brown eyes and blood red lips stepped into the room.

"Hello Helia"

Helia gasped, he couldn't believe his eyes, she was...she was...

"You're the princess!"
