We set off through the woods which were dark, ominous, and made me see why my sisters and I were banned from entering them. My sister took the lead with me in the middle and Helia in the rear. I have to admit I was scared, but I calmed down sa pamamagitan ng telling myself if she’s not freaking out then there is nothing to worry about. I heard her yell Stop. I asked her why as I brought my horse to a halt. My sister sinabi in order to get across the bridge we have to coax the horses across because I’ve tried to ride on my horse on the bridge and she won’t budge. So it will be safer if we walk them across the bridge but we will only go one at a time because I’m not sure how much weight this bridge can take. Helia and I nodded as she gently coaxed her tan horse across the old bridge connecting two pieces of land that were about a mile above a valley of jagged rocks and rough rapids. She made it across then motioned for me to make my way across. I was a little hesitant at first but my adrenaline got me through it. Once I was on the same side as my sister, Helia made his way onto the bridge and quickly reached the two of us. She told us we will go on foot for a little while since there are parts of this forest that are too thick and narrow to ride on horseback. We nodded and followed closely behind her. The thought of her traveling these woods sa pamamagitan ng herself sent chills down my spine. I asked her how many times have you gone in these woods sa pamamagitan ng yourself. She replied probably about twenty times exploring but I’ve been living in that cabin for the past four years, so the woods don’t scare me anymore then she laughed as we went further into the dark woods.
