Tired of your old ordinary beaches?

Here are the nicest, cleanest and warmest seaside resorts you might or may not have known about in Stockholm.

  1. SMEDSUDBATH
One of the most popular beaches in the inner city, so be here in good time if you want a good place for your towel. Nevertheless, you can find some more secluded, lush bathing places nearby.
    Route: Tunnelbana to Fridhemsplan

  1. LÅNGHOLMSBADET
A stone's throw away from Hornstull is a whole island that seems to be made for bathing. A packed beach is available but rather looks up a cliff to have for you. Eat a hearty home meal lunch at Långholmens Wärdshus when you're still there, so you can splash all day.
Route: Tunnelbana to Hornstull or bus 4 to Högalidsgatan.

  1. KAMPEMENTSBADET
For all those who prefer swimming in a chlorinated pool than in Lake Mälaren, Kampementsbadet is found. Pretty little pool, the bigger the surrounding lawn - ultimate for sunbathers.
    Route: Tunnelbana to Gärdet.

  1. ERIKSDALSBADET
When the Popaganda Pop Festival is not home to the Eriksdalsbadet's outdoor area at the end of August, it is free to swim in the four well-established pools. In addition, you are welcome to barbecue, play, play beach volleyball and table tennis or play at the associated playground. Food service is also available.
    Route: Tunnelbana to Skanstull.

  1. FREDHÄLLSKIPPORNA
Probably the bath with finest views throughout Stockholm. Not the most child-friendly bath, because the rocks are bit steep, but a perfect place to lay down and just get up for a cool dip.
    Route: Tunnelbana to Kristineberg.

  1. THE BACKGROUND OF LILLA ESSINGEN
It is an island in the inner city between Kungsholmen and Stora Essingen. There are both traditional bathing bridges and a small constructed bay with surrounding wooden stairs.
Route: Bus 1 to Lilla Essingen.

  1. FLATENBADET
Stockholm's largest open-air swimming pool is located by the lake, which is said to be one of Stockholm's cleanest, Flatten in Skarpnäck, and also offers boulebanes, beach volleyball and mini-golf course.
Route: Bus 811 or 816 from Gullmarsplan, or 401 from Slussen, to Flatenbadet.

  1. HELLASGÅRDEN
A real open-air summer, summer, and winter. In winter there is ice skating, cross-country skiing, and a swimming hole cut out of the ice.

Route: Bus 401 from Slussen to Hellasgården.

  1.  TANTOBADET

Newly built large swimming area with sandy beach, lawn and hunting tower. Here, families with children, youth and retirees are bathing side by side. Another astonishing thing here is the bridge sauna floating out in the water.
Route: Tunnelbana to Hornstull.

  1.  VINTERVIKEN
Vinterviken bathing areas offer both ropes to swim into the water with and more traditional beach strips around the triangle.
Route: Tunnelway to Aspudden or crossroads to the triangle.
