Don't understand Bella in Eclipse!

There's something I don't get, how can bella be in pag-ibig with both edward and jacob, even if we all know that her pag-ibig for the former is stronger?
Is it possible that part of her loved Jacob when we thought that her puso was wholy Edward's- in new moon and twilight?
Some help, please!
It feels like she's not the same character anymore!
And Edward shouldn't he acted differently? He was betrayed, and yet he accepted that she could be in pag-ibig with someone else! Even if she chose him, it doesn't make any sens!

I don't think she loved Jacob when she was with Edward, feelings developed in New Moon. I mean, she liked him as a friend and then feelings grew, like he became her Best Friend and then she loved him as a best friend but she was too busy holding on to Edward to really come to sense with her emotions.
I think Edward should have acted differently too but, he loves her so much, he accepts everything. And also, he was saying that Jacob had tricked her, you know sa pamamagitan ng the whole halik me or I'll kill myself thing. I would personally, of been edgy around her but Edward wanted her to be happy madami than anything. Like I sinabi before, if you get into a situation like this where YOU are Bella or Edward (situation wise), you'd probably do the same thing. (Make sense?)

thanks. You're answer makes a lot of sens , when you think it possible to be in pag-ibig with madami than one peson at a time. Maybe it was possible when Edward wasn't there, in New Moon but in Eclipse, I thought it was weird and uncomfortable. I found Bella very fickle; one moment she was halik Jacob, the other she was telling Edward how much she loved him. I think she could pag-ibig both but being IN pag-ibig with both...I don't know! Thanks for the answer, I understand it.

Yes, I thought that too but I guess because I know how it all turns out I don't mind it so much. She is fickle. I do think that it is possible to be IN pag-ibig with 2 people, well, I think that she is IN pag-ibig with Edward and she loves Jacob but she thinks that she's in pag-ibig with Jacob too cause in Breaking Dawn, it's no so much... if at all.

she loved edward all the time but her puso made a small place for jacob. well, it's difficult but it happens.
her pag-ibig for edward is like...he's like a drug for her. he's her whole life. she has to be with him. and her pag-ibig for jake is like normal love.
