I am Madison. I had a grandmother who raised me with my grandfather since I was only five days old. She died November 18, 2009. Her name was Ruth Audrey Collins. She was a sweet woman with blonde, curly hair. I have a great feeling that she definitely went to heaven. She died at 70 years old from a blood vessel leak in the back of her brain. She died in her sleep, so she died peacefully. She was the greatest woman I ever knew.

Nana was also very energetic, and she also had a good sense of humor. One night, about a buwan before she died, Pop and I went out in the kitchen, and there, right on the napkin holder, was her "I voted" sticker. We decided to have a little fun. Pop took off his sticker and wrote, "Me too!" on it. I got some tape and wrote, "I didn't >:3" because I was too young to vote.

On Christmas, 2007, I had opened up all my presents, and I was at the last one. At the bottom when I saw "Super Mario Galaxy" for Wii. I told Nana I don't have a Wii, but then I noticed a big present leaning against the wall. I tore it open, and screamed at the tuktok of my lungs.

The araw Nana died, I thought she had slept in, so I thought "good". About an oras later, Pop came in and told her I was going to be late for school, which normally did it. But not today. I went to go make breakfast. Aunt Kathy flew through the door, crying her head off. She ran into Nana's room, then came out and called the police. I heard what she described, then started BAWLING. When the police came, my shih- tzu, Lacy, acted like she was a police dog. After checking Nana, one police man came out and sinabi he was very sorry about our loss. Aunt Kathy and I hugged and started crying like we had never cried before. Pop told me to go over to my friends' house and sleep there for the night. Only their mom, Christina, was home, and she gave me a big hug and sinabi she was sorry. That had to be the worst araw of my life.

Whenever I hear the song Fireflies sa pamamagitan ng Owl City, I think of her for some reason.
