If Nessie ever joined the Volturi Bella and Edward would support her decision but they may not be happy about it. Bella and Edward are amazing parents so they would try and understand why Nessie joined them and as long as she doesnt do anything against the Cullen's or their mga kaibigan (this means the ones which came as a witness to help Nessie) and stays a "vegetarian" vampire i think both Bella and Edward would forgive her, it may take some time though. Edward might take some time, but Jacob would never fogive her. And if she joined because she fell in pag-ibig with Alec (Who wouldn't fall for Alec), he might never forgive her.

What if the Volturi were able to regain their former glory and power, and then threatened to kill her family and Jacob unless she joined them. I like to think she'd be self-sacrificing enough to give herself up to them if it meant saving the ones she loves. Especially if they had the power to kill Jacob.

It's completely unsupported to just call her a backstabber without any idea of all the possible situations.
