As you will have noticed I pag-ibig cliffhangers. I pag-ibig to write them but I felt slightly mean after giving you like three in a row. So here, I have posted this on early. It wasn't supposed to go on til later but as I sinabi I felt mean. So here it is.


Emmett was obviously taller than me. Edward would never have hurt me. He had calculated his attack well. He would soar over me and get Emmett in the face. But not if I got Edward first. As soon as Edward’s feet left the floor I was up in the air. We met mid-air crashing into each other. I put all my strength and force (and possibly used some telekinesis) onto Edward so he went back the way he came. We landed, me on tuktok of Edward, with a big thud. Edward swiftly lifted me off him and dropped me on the floor susunod to him. He was on his feet and running at Emmett when I stood up. I was not letting him attack Emmett. The other Cullen’s were shocked at what they had just witnessed. I mean, who would have thought that I would have been able to take on Edward. He was like one of their best fighters. I bet they thought I would have bounced off him or something. They wouldn’t have expected that. Except Alice, of course, who was watching us apprehensively.
I jumped onto Edward’s back, locking my legs and arms as if he was going to run and I needed to hold on.
“Oh no you don’t,” I whispered in his ear.
“Stay out of this,” he growled back.
“To get to Emmett, you’ll have to go through me.”
“As you wish.” Edward found my legs around his waist and forced them apart so the hung down. At lightening speed he undid my arms but before I dropped to the floor he caught me and placed me delicately down.
I could argue with Edward but he was just so angry that he couldn’t be reasoned with. I had never seen him like this. The close I have is when Jasper tried to eat me but even then he hadn’t gone this far. Was that because no actual damage had been done to me? I think we needed Jasper right now. He was like a walking chill pill, that vamp. He would calm down Edward in less than a second. But Jasper wasn’t here. Damn that boy. I didn’t want Edward fighting Emmett so only Emmett wouldn’t get hurt. Have you seen the size of Emmett? Emmett could probably squash Edward with his little finger! If Edward attacks Emmett then Emmett will defend himself and I’m sure it won’t be nicely but probably brutally. I didn’t want Edward getting hurt either.
Before Edward could even look at Emmett I had kicked Edward in the back. He turned around, clearly irritated at my continued attempt to thwart his attack. I knew I would regret picking a fight with Edward but I could always make it up to him later.
“What’s all this noise?”
Rosalie had walked into Alice’s room. She was just in time to see Edward take a swipe at me.
“What the hell is going on?” she half screamed. “Why is Edward hitting her?”
“She’s protecting me,” Emmett laughed.
“Why do you need protecting?”
Edward and I were in combat now. My style of fighting. It was kind of like a martial art fight. Jackie Chan style. We were attacking each other while defending ourselves. It was something that came naturally to me.
“Carlisle, stop them!” Esme screamed. She was going mad with worry.
Carlisle’s time to intervene had come.
“Edward, stop this right now!”
I had never ever heard such authority in Carlisle’s voice before. I felt like a naughty school kid. I dropped my hands, before I had time to think. Edward, who must have been used to that voice, continued to fight. His hand shot out and struck my cheek. I didn’t have time to defend myself. Edward dropped his hands when he saw my stunned face. I put my hand to my cheek as his hit actually hurt. It felt warm and wet. Edward’s eyes widened in shock. He had drawn blood. He looked down at his hands, astounded that his hand had done that.
Everyone else was staring at me. The cut on my cheek wasn’t deep so not much blood was coming from it and the bleeding didn’t last long before it stopped. Esme wanted so much to come over to me and hug me but I saw Carlisle hold her back. I think he knew what was going to happen. And so did I. I narrowed my eyes at Edward. Rage flared up at Edward. He had hit me and drew blood. That was something I didn’t appreciate. I didn’t like it. Edward could sense the anger building up but before he had time to say anything, before anyone could say or do anything, Edward was flying out of Alice’s bedroom and slammed into the pader out in the hall. I hadn’t touched him and neither had anyone else. I walked slowly out of the room and saw Edward picking himself up. Edward wasn’t bothered with Emmett anymore but I didn’t care. I was just so angry at him. I could see that Edward was getting angry too. He didn’t like my use of telekinesis. He found it unfair. Well, I found it unfair that he has razor sharp nails that can cut my skin.
Edward’s anger was just as explosive as mine. We were fighting again, martial arts style. I kicked out with my leg and sent him stumbling down the hallway.
The Cullens were following us. They were trying to stop us, afraid that we (mainly me) would get hurt. Even Rosalie was telling Edward to stop before he hurt me.
We were now at the stairs that led to the hallway. Edward was at the tuktok before me. I didn’t want to push him down the stairs or anything. That wasn’t my intention. He was the one that jumped backwards and cleared the stairs. He hadn’t finished just yet. Me? I was still a tiny bit angry. I bent my knees and concentrated. I had to do this. I jumped. I soared right over the stairs and landed, to my astonishment, gracefully at the bottom.
“She did not just do that!” I heard Rosalie exclaim. It seems I have impressed her.
“Carlisle, you have to stop this!” Esme was so worried.
“I can’t. It’s up to them.”
Edward’s black eyes were not helping his mood. He was at his crankiest when his eyes were black. It wasn’t a surprise that he had tried to go for Emmett and it wasn’t a surprise that he was fighting me.
I ran to Edward, fast as lightening, and jumped. I locked my legs around his waist and slammed him into the door. I held him there with my mind while my hands held his face. I turned his head slightly and I knew I had won. Or at least I thought I had until I heard his thoughts. The ones he had been holding back from me.
Why does he get her? Why does he get a part of her? She is mine. Mine! I hate her! Why did she say that? He’ll get ideas and before we know it he’ll imprint on her! Stupid mongrel! That pup is the bane of my existence! If I ever-
I dropped my hands from his face. He turned his head and he realised what had just happened.
I let him go and his body relaxed slightly now that he wasn’t held against the wall. I put my hands on his shoulders and let my legs unravel. When my feet touched the floor I removed my hands. My anger was gone. In its place was this overwhelming sadness. The only thing that was going through me mind was what he had thought. I hate her!
His hand reached out, as if to comfort me, but I shook my head. I continued to shake my head. I didn’t understand. I didn’t want to understand. Why would he say that? I know he thought it but he knew I could read his mind so it was like he had sinabi it. Why would he? Did he really hate me? Did he really think that? I could see him shaking his head answering my unspoken tanong but I didn’t care what he was saying anymore. I had to leave. I had to get out of there and think without him hearing. I had to get away from him.
I was backing away and the other Cullens were running down the stairs. They thought that it was over and they were right. It was over.
I was walking to the door and none of them knew why. I think Alice had an idea why but she wouldn’t say it. Not in front of everyone.
Rosalie was the first to see me leave. She was feeling smug. Edward had been beaten sa pamamagitan ng a girl. A human girl. She was loving it and couldn’t wait to rub it in his face.
“Go after her!” she sinabi to Edward. “Don’t let her walk away! Make up with her!”
“No,” Edward said. “No.”
“Edward,” Alice spoke quietly but I could still hear her.
I was at the door and I had opened it. It was the first time I had noticed that it was dark. The sky was pitch black and I could see the stars twinkling and shining. But I didn’t look too long.
“You have to go after her,” Alice stressed. “If you don’t-”
I didn’t hear the rest. I was running home.
