Chapter 15: Jacobs point of view: My gravity.

I lay there in wreathing pain, But not the fast healing broken Buto nor the cuts hurt as much of the thought that Renesmee, my Nessie wasn't safe.

"Calm done, bro" I heard seth say after my ranting, through short breaths, on where Renesmee is.

"Calm..?" My hands balled up in fists, Seth imeditly recoiled," Your asking me to calm down seth?" I said, the acid in the words burned on my tounge.

"I promise she is safe, i drove her tahanan myself." He said, hands raised. although the confiedence in his eyes were certain, i wouldn't be, not until i got to see her. "When she is ready to come, she will come"

"..And if she dosn't?" The thought of it made me feel sick to the stomach.

Seth rolled his eyes, almost disturbed sa pamamagitan ng the thought "Oh, please Jacob.."

I abruptly stood up, looking at seth to see if he would protest it. Instead he backed off, i quickly exited my house, pushing the door out of my way with madami force then nessacary. I squinted as my eyes adjusted to the sunlight, trudging my way up to the tuktok of the cliff. I stared out into the open, it was nice to be outside again. It felt like weeks, rather then days, i had been kept up in that room. Although the pain was numbed, it was still there.

I sat down carefully at the edge of the cliff, looking out towards the water. I picked up a rock and threw it over the edge. I watch it drop into the water, creating a ripple effect. I recoiled from the sight, remembering the araw when Bella had- but i wouldn't think about that now.

My thoughts trailed back to Renesmee. I didn't see her after the time in the field. I had woken up in my house, with billy giving me madami morphine as prescribed sa pamamagitan ng the oldest Cullen; Carlisle. My thoughts never left her, Renesmee. Renesmee. Renesmee.

"Ow!" I yelled lightly, i realised my fists were clenched tightly on a rock. I dropped it back on the ground, and rubbed the blood onto my pants.

I heard footsteps come up behind me, i didn't bother looking. It was probaly Seth trying to convince me to come back, or Leah making some sort of remark. I felt a pair of arms balutin swiftly around my neck, i froze in place.

"Renesmee?" My voice went one octave higher, i turned around to face her. "Renesmee!"

I held her in an embrace, securly in between my arms.

"Jake!" I heard her gasp between quick breaths, "Jacob, your okay!".

Her urgency surrounded me. How could she be worried about me when she could've been... I imdeditely held her closer, in fear of losing her once more. I heard her quiet sobs breakthrough the scilence, each one hurting me. I reached my hand down and lightly brushed her tears away with my fingertips.

"It's alright" I soothed. I kissed the tuktok of her head and pushed her back lightly so i could see her, "I'm fine nessie, see". I felt her hesitation as she quickly examined me. I held her hand in between mine, "I'm so sorry Nessie" My voice broke off at the end "This shouldnt've happened, i should've protected you!" I felt angry at myself. I was the reason she was so anxious, upset.

I carefully pushed her away and balled my hands into fists at my side, closing my eyes. Focusing on calming down. One sa pamamagitan ng one my fingers uncurled and my hands fell limp at my side.

My eyes still closed, not wanting to see her like that again.
She hesitated, probaly monitoring my reaction, then took a step back towards me. In one matulin movment her hand touched my face, i felt her warm skin against mine. I slowly opened my eyes, staring into the fce of perfection. But her face was now full of worry and regret, as if this was all somehow her fault.

"Jake?" I heard her say in almost a whisper. "Jacob, please don't blame yourself. You did nothing wrong..and like you sinabi they can't hurt me anymore" Her voice was convincing, yet i knew she was trying hard not to choke on the words.

It was amazing on how she could try to make someone else feel better, even at her own cost.
I closed my eyes and shook my head, her hand dropped at once. I felt the cool air replace where her warm hand had once been. I opened my eyes once madami and carefuly picked up her small fragile arm.

I examined it, the scar which was once a deep gash placed on her upperarm. I brushed my fingers over the healed injury, remembering the horrible day. The araw i thought i'd Nawawala her.

"Jacob" She pleaded, swiftly moving her arm out of sight. "Please, that was nothing it was just-"

"Somthing that could've been prevented?" I answered solemly.

She bit her lip, she knew i was right but would never admit it. She looked down avoiding eye contact. I knew she rememberd that araw just as vividly, in a madami intimidating point of view. I pushed her hair carefully behind her ear, pulling her closer to me again.

"So when are your parents getting back?"

She shrugged "When thier are none left, and thier sure it's ligtas for me" Although her voice was clear, i heard a bit of worry in her tone. I smiled,

"What's so funny?" She demanded.

I chuckled "The fact that your worried about them, Renesmee, they are fine. I promise"

I heard her sigh lightly, almost as if in relife. "I'd better go, they'll be terrible worried if i'm not tahanan when thier there". She carefully untangled herself from my hold and headed to her fathers volvo.

My head shot up, "I'm coming with you".

She turned her head and smiled; "Good"

She drove down the road with ease, as if she had done it a million times. The thought worried me. What if someone were to swerve and..

"NO!" I yelled in response to my thought, she jumped immideitly at the sound of my shriek.

"Jake?" She asked urgently "What's wrong"

I hesitated "I really just don't like the thought of you driving, i mean there are soo many ways for you to get hurt.."

She rolled her eyes, "Oh please Jacob" She smiled "Now whose being ridiculous about others saftey?"

I smiled in response, but turned solem "Renesmee, it's my job to protect you"

"And your doing a very good job" She said, attempting to convince me of her saftey.

"I could beg to differ" I snorted

"To each his own."

We arrived at Bella and Edwards house, i tried to look for any sign of them being back but came up empty. I started to wonder if somthing went wrong, but then i was sure Bella would call.

"Coming Jake?" I heard Renesmee's voice chime

"Oh, ya" I nodded. I quickly got out of the car. We walked into the house, closing the door behind me i followed Nessie into her room. I paused for a moment;

"Aren't you going to lock the door?" I wondered why she would be so carless. I promised to always protect her, but i was sure she could at least try not to get herself killed.

"Well, actualy no. Im not afraid of someone who would be detered sa pamamagitan ng a locked door.."

I grimaced at the meaning behind it. "Renesmee, nobody will hurt you. Not as long as i'm around"
she made it halfway to the door, turned around and walked back.

"I don't need to lock it" She finaly concluded, she walked into her room. I followed closly after.

"Why not?" I asked annoyed, curious of what brought her to that conclusion.

She smiled, Her perfect teeth all gleaming in a row. Such an innocence she had to her, it was nice. "Because your here"

I smiled in response, pulling her into a hug. "Your too much" I sinabi sarcasticly. I heard music play, it took me a minuto to realise it was from her phone. I urgently looked down,

"Nessie?"
