A heavy flowery scent wafted under my nostrils, and I felt my eyebrows raise. I cursed under my breath as I remembered Edward's new girlfriend was visiting today. The ground flowed beneath my bare feet as I flew through the forest. I drew in a deep breath, and gently retracted my arms from their wide stretch. My toes gently grasped the edge of the creek bed, and I launched myself over the roaring water. I landed with a light thud and continued on. "I'm sorry, Olliander will be here momentarily. She has a bit of an issue with time." I heard Esme from not too far away. I heard the soft creak of her heels on the hardwood floor, and a gentle exhale. I was hit with another blast of the intoxicating scent. I stopped not a segundo short of the large oak puno that reached the kitchen. My fingers traced the familiar patterns of the bark before digging in and shooting upwards. I felt the single smooth branch brush against my skin, and stopped mid-air. I slid through the open kusina window, and without missing a beat, extended my hand and said, "Hello, Bella. Pleasure to meet you." A warm glow engulfed my hand, and I breathed in deeply at the hot pulse of her blood under my fingers. Her hand pulled away quickly, and I failed to hide a quiet laugh.
"Bella, this is Olliander." Carlisle's smile echoed in his voice. "She's the newest addition to our family."
"Put up with us for almost five years!" Emmett boomed, pulling me into a tight hug. I felt Rosalie sigh imaptiently. He released me, and returned to Rose's side.
"Nice to meet you." Bella sinabi timidly, and Edward's hand brushed against her jacketsleeve. An ear-splitting shatter of glass pulled an involuntary groan to my lips. Emse hissed silently, and Rose stomped off. Feet shuffled about, though I had nagyelo to the floor. The scent of bulaklak faded, and Emmett's thick hand pressed delicately against the small of my back.
"It's 'k, little sis." He whispered, and I dared to take a step.
