Chapter 9 Finding Treasure (Edward’s P.O.V.)
I ran up the trail as fast as I could, leaving Emmett and Jasper in my dust. It spread out about 25 miles up and then just all went separate ways as if she was torn into a bunch of pieces and carried off different ways. That was horrible it cant happen, god no please no.
Emmett and Jasper came a few minutos later.
“That’s really weird, its like he couldn’t decide where to take her, and kept coming back to this spot and choosing a different trail.” Jasper said.
I breathed out a sigh of relief, good, I didn’t think of that, please let it be that.
“Call Carlisle, tell then to come and help, I can sort of feel her presence somehow.” I sinabi and ran off towards the greatest scented trail, and where her presence was coming from.
After about 2 minutes, it was like he was standing right susunod to me, I just knew she was close.
I looked in all directions, trying to find something, anything. I found a very, very camouflaged house. That could only be done sa pamamagitan ng a vampire, Keith.
I growled and ran as fast as I could again to the little house and slammed the door open, so hard it made a tremendous slam into the pader behind it. Good thing the door was steal, or else it would have broken.
The first thing I saw was a large sopa with Bella sitting on it, with Keith leaning over her for the kill.
I ran and pulled him off, but I was too late, he bit her. He also had a steal grip on her legs and when I pulled him off, she was thrown into a concrete wall. The pader broke into a million tiny pieces. It, I knew, broke a ton of her Buto too.
I started to rip Keith apart when she finally screamed a pain filled scream that hurt my vampire ears.
I dropped everything I was doing and ran over to her, touching her skin with my cold fingers, not knowing what to do.
I heard the door open, hoping it was Carlisle, but when I looked there was nobody here, not even Keith. While I was with Bella, Keith was putting himself back together, and he got away.
I didn’t really care, Bella was my first priority, I would find him later after Bella is better.
Carlisle came in a few minutos later, with everyone else. Carlisle came over here and started to treat Bella.
Bella was still screaming, but I could make out words as she was yelling, “Venom, Ankle!”
I gasped as I realized he still bit her.
“Edward, again it’s up to you, just like James.” Carlisle said.
I growled at James’ name, “I’m not letting it happen.” I sinabi as I took hold of her ankle.
“Emmett, Jasper, hold her down.” I said.
“Carlisle where can we?” Jasper asked.
Carlisle pointed at two spots, they both grabbed them and held her down tightly, not enough to break those though.
I took a deep breath and swallowed all the venom in my mouth and started sucking it out. I completely forgot how potent her blood was, and I couldn’t stop. I felt Emmett trying to pull me off. I pulled off and ran out the door, ashamed of myself.
Esme came outside to try to comfort me. She was rubbing my back and saying, “It’s not your fault, all of us would have done that.”
I sighed and said, “I guess.”
Carlisle called out to me, “Edward, come out and carry her home.”
I sighed again and slowly walked back inside, I hung my head to ipakita my embarrassment.
I picked her up, gently, at the same places Emmett and Jasper did to hold her down.
I ran tahanan and took her up to Carlisle x-ray machine, knowing he will do that.
It took about 6 hours to have all the x-rays and casting done. I sat susunod to her on the bad and just sat thinking about when she will wake up. I couldn’t wait very long.
