Today, a new interview with Rob from Cannes, France was released. It's only a couple minutos long with Rob talking about New Moon, but, something Rob sinabi really stuck with me.
Before I talk about the interview, I would like to make something clear. And I will keep it brief. Alot of people think that New Moon is Jacob's book. But it's not. It's still Bella's book. She tells the story. We experience everything through her words. Jacob happens to be in the story more, and we get to know madami about the werewolves, but other than that, Bella is the main character. Edward is still present, not physically, but mentally. Everything reminds Bella of him. Therefore, everything in New Moon revolves around him and Bella trying to survive without him. Now, end of my little rant and moving on to what Rob sinabi in his interview.
During Rob's short interview, around 1:18, he talks about the filming and how he was madami relaxed. He also said, "Mainly, I think I'm a supporting role in it [New Moon]. I felt pretty relaxed all the time. I really didn't have to hold it. Not that I had to last time. Kristen essentially holds the movie."
Kristen essentially holds the movie. He gets that Bella is the main character. Some of us forget that it's her story. We're caught up in her world and what's going on, but we forget that we're experiencing it through her. And I'm glad that Rob gets the fact that Edward is supporting character, not only in New Moon, but the other books as well. Even though Edward is an awesome and unique character, it's true. He's a supporting character, just like Alice and Jacob.

God and His priests and His kings
All were waiting
All will wait
As they go over
Mmm, held between heaven and hell
As they're dancing
As they dance over and over
Over
Cold
Cold
Crimson and bare as I stand
Yours completely
Yours as we go over
Sing for the lion and tupa
Their hearts are hunting
Still hearts hold ever and ever
Ever
Cold
Cold
God and His priests and His kings
Turn their faces
Even they feel the cold
Ooooooh, ooooooh
What you are given
Can't be forgotten
And never forsaken
What you are given
Can't be forgotten
And never forsaken
What you are given
Can't be forgotten
Cold
All were waiting
All will wait
