What is the difference between Vampire Knight manga and Vampire Knight anime? If there is a difference I'd like to know what it is!

I recently got addicted to Vampire Knight because of my best friend. I've only read the manga books of it though. Then I found out that there was a anime Vampire Knight!

Well they are really alike...I've seen a few pages of the first manga and the ipakita looks like they just peeled the characters off the page
