why do so many people like zero madami than kaname?

It could be because Zero is the one who is always protecting Yukki.
Kaname on the other hand, prefers to protect her sa pamamagitan ng using others. E.G. The night class, Zero him self ETC.

i myself prefer Kaname though. X.x. Zeros a great guy but Kaname is someone who i think is madami suited for Yuki's style.

zero has a really gud personality n kanme well he came from nowhere n zero keeps yuki ligtas n will b enaythn for yuki if she wants a friend he is her friend if she wants pag-ibig he wll pag-ibig her n if she wants help he will he wiill always be there

Well, if you think about the reasons why many fans of Vampire Knight prefer Zero over Kaname, you need to be familiar with the characters personalities and their relationship with the protagonist; Yuuki. Some people are capable of sensing the spark in their relationship ignited when Zero attempted to halik Yuuki. Moreover, Zero has established a closer relationship with Yuuki (and is closer to her physical age), who was there for him when he was recovering from the loss of his family (except Ichiru). She generated the warmth that Zero needed and craved during that time while also giving him the mothering pag-ibig that he desperately needed. Personally, I strongly believed that Zero always harboured feelings for Yuuki that surpassed close friendship. However, he suppressed his feelings for Yuuki when he became aware of her attraction towards Kaname and decided it would be in her best interest to pushed himself away from her.

Yuuki's relationship with Kaname started when he saved her from that blood thirsty vampire that snowy, winter night when she began to suffered from ameisia. Her pag-ibig or admiration for him is due to the fact that she owes him her life. Kaname regularly paid visits to Yuuki and treated her like a little sister. However, what is madami shocking, is that Kaname is Yuuki's older brother (if you continue reading, things are cleared up and everything is not as messed up as originally perceived. Slightly...)- making Yuuki a pureblood sa pamamagitan ng default. When Kaname feels as though it is time, he unveils to Yuuki that they were suppose to be married. They then leave the academy and begin a new life together.

Another reason as to why fans prefer Zero over Kaname is due to the way he treats her. In particular, how at a early stage in the story, Kaname had desire to drink Yuuki's blood and bring her back to the blood tainted life of a vampire which Juuri didn't want for her daughter. Juuri wanted her daughter to have a normal human life and to be able to smile like a human, an opportunity she was never given. And finally, when the readers find out Kaname's true reason for keeping Zero alive was for Yuuki's sake and to manipulate Zero as a pawn in his chess game, where he is the clear winner. Kaname is selfish, and generally only thinks of himself- the only exception being Yuuki (his blushing bride), as he doesn't trust anyone since his parents were murdered. He even adopted a new personality and behaviour after that life changing event.

I think Zero is far better a peroson than Kaname. Zero is so strong- to fight his vampire instincts, where as kaname has embraced and enjoys the fact he's a blood sucking feind. The fact that he's related to Yukki is irellievant because he's not properly her brother as he was merely awakned so as to grow up with Yukki, and vampire interbreed leaves no neggative physical effects. I think Zero is far madami open than kaname, he's also less false, the whole "be my lover" line from Kaname was to me cold and meaningless. Yukki and zero have a true bond. I think Yukki would be better suited as a wife to Kaname however. Zero if not sa pamamagitan ng blood has been like a brother to her for 4yrs and so they should not tumawid that boundry and as Yukki is now a pureblood I think The physical attrcation has gone for zero. Yukki has been in pag-ibig with Kaname so long she idolises him and so she should be with the one she loves the most- the one she was evidently destined for even before she was born. Zero, in my opinion, deserves better!

Zero never used anyone to get his own way like Kaname. Kaname is evil. He's her brother/great grandfather, eeewww. Zero is just a better man. And so much hotter!!

well, it's acually zero who got me introduced 2 the ipakita (which i still haven't seen, & i still can't find on the internet.) not litteraly, but i found a pic. of him, posted it, & found out who he was & what ipakita he was from. but i think i'll like him best because of that. this is the pic i posted.

Well, but i always support them.. They both are incredible.

Because Zero is really gentle,warm and always thinks for the others but him.Although Ichiru makes his parents die and make Shizuka bite him,he still cares for Ichiru and doesn't want to lose him.About Yuki,he loves Yuki but Yuki likes Kaname(just like,remember!),so he doesn't prevent her from liking Kaname and does everything to make her happy.And what about Kaname?He is selfish,he doesn't think for anyone and he uses the others to get his success.He loves Yuki,I know,but I think Yuki loves Zero,and because of Kaname Yuki and Zero can't pag-ibig each other.Kaname is really really selfish

You know why .. Coz Zero is always there for her even kaname is ther for her too .. and he is always protect her even they're enemies .. AND his pag-ibig for Yuki never gone even yuki have kaname's pag-ibig .. and that's why other Prefer to choose him coz he will do such crazy thing and even Yuki he gave her to kaname , he prefer gave her to him For her happiness .. that's why i prefer Zero than kaname for Yuki ..

1. Kaname's very manipulative. He plots a lot. He used the rest of the Night Class to protect Yuuki, used Zero etc. That manipulation and plotting is a character trait which a lot of people strongly dislike.
2. I know Kaname and Yuuki aren't really siblings, but they grew up thinking they were, and they're still biologically related in a different way. And I know the incest issue isn't meant to count because they're vampires. But it's still too much for some people.
3. You see madami of Zero's suffering early on. Kaname suffered too, but he hides it for most of the first half of the series. That could have made people start preferring Zero.
4. The way he treats Zero. I know, they both hate each other equally, but Kaname seems to treat Zero worse for less reason. He had no right to claim that Zero lives only on his sufferance.

No idea Zero is such a weakling.
I've always liked Kaname from the beginning.
Most people hate Kaname because he was mean to Zero, but are most of you forgetting that Kaname is a vampire a pureblood at that.

I personally like Kaname but I can see why people like Zero...
For one thing, Kaname is Yuuki's brother. I know that they aren't really related but still...Yuuki nakakita Kaname as a brother.
Also, people seem to go for the angsty bad boy. And Zero is pretty hot. That always helps.
I think that because of his back story, people sympathize with Zero a lot madami than Kaname, who everyone worships.
I don't really know because as I said, I am a Kaname fangirl! ^w^

I am a kaname fan,and I say a kaname is meant to be with yuuki cause he has been with her ever since she was little and he is always in the dark protecting yuuki from danger and plus he's hotter than Zero and in the last episode yuuki leaves the academy with kaname and Zero told her he would have to kill her one araw cause he is also a vampire hunter.

Because Zero has been with her the whole time.
He even sinabi that she could kill him anytime and didn't stop her when she tried choking him.
He also didn't alisin her memory's, and protects her
He watches over her, kills her enemies, even though he self suffers. He's mysterious as well. Personality and Looks. He cares about her and didn't want her to end like him, a vampire, cause that's pain. Kaname also used the others to play games...
