“Don’t piss me off!” I yelled at the counselor, “You really don’t want to see me mad.” Of course I was already mad, but there was no other way I could have explained my anger issues at her.
She sat in her green plastic chair, trying to look professional under pressure. Her short blonde bangs stuck to her forehead with sweat. I almost giggled. I was making this tough for her. She has never handled a girl like the one I am.
“Please, Aly, try to reason with me.” She stood up, arms reaching towards me shakily. Aly. Did she just call me Aly?
“Excuse me miss?” My voice came out madami sarcastic than angry. I could see her gulp, she sat back down, preparing for the statement I was about to deliver.
“First of all, my name is not Aly. I am no prissy girl that was sent here on scholarship, okay. The thing that I hate madami than school is nicknames. So stop with the Aly. My father died, and my mother abandoned me. You’re the counselor, you’re the one that’s supposed to be making my life easier, not harder.” I toned down my voice. If someone heard me they would come barging in here. That was the last thing I needed.
“But, Alianna,” She made sure she didn’t screw with my name this time. “If you would only make friends.”
I started down at my ruined shirt. Some blonde chick had spilled nachos on my paborito dark green blouse. Make friends? That sure wasn’t on my bucket list.
“You don’t get it, Kelly.” I used her first name just to ipakita her how serious I was.
“These plastic girls just make me want to throw up over and over. They are all fake, down to their perfectly polished kulay-rosas toe. I’m not like any of them. And I don’t ever want to.” She stood then, trying to pretend she understood everything that was happening to me. Hell no she wasn’t. Her brows were pushed together like two annoyed hairy caterpillars. She straitened out her pinstriped skirt, making sure no wrinkles could be seen.
“I get you. Your different, and I can see that.” Her blue eyes rolled over my brown boots, dark skinny jeans, and brown leather jacket.
“But you must understand that your going to be here for a while, you might as well start getting used to this environment.” I call crazy as I see it. And let me just tell you that this catch is very crazy indeed.
I rubbed at my carry bags soft material over and over, trying to calm my emotions.
“So what your saying is that I should start dressing like them, looking like them, and socializing with them.” A huge smile appeared on her kulay-rosas lips.
“So you get what I’m saying.” In that moment she reminded me so much of Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde 2. You know that part where she’s in her “office” with that kulay-rosas fluffy pen, surrounded sa pamamagitan ng all her “cute” decorations.
And its then that I realized that Kelly was and will always be one of them. She is like every other girl inside these school walls. Rich. Blonde. Fake.
It all makes sense now. Why the school hired her instead of a perfectly qualified counselor. Kelly is able to get them. She is one of them.
“I get exactly what your saying. And let me just tell you that I don’t give a damn about it.” I turned to leave, trying to make a dramatic exit. And seceding at it.

*Hello. The IM popped up at the bottom of my screen. A huge grin spread on my lips. Benjamin, my gay best friend, wanted to chat.
I was laying on my kama inside my dorm. My purple laptop gleamed back at my grin. There was no noise around me, just the occasional bump from the upstairs dorm. Of course no one was bunking with me. Half because I didn’t want any one to and half because no one wanted to.
~Hey Muchacho. I almost immediately wrote back. Send. The message on the screen sinabi he was writing.
Thank God he messaged me! I was starting to feel so alone and useless. A sign of recognition was all I needed.
*What is up in Silent City. Haha. Get my joke? Cuz you cant communicate with the outside on weekdays. Haha I just kill myself sometimesJ
I loved Benjamin with all my heart. And it was his corky attitude that I loved and missed the most.
~Very funny Benjamin. So how’s life? Tell your parents about your non straightness yet? Irony had a funny way of ipinapakita its way in life sometimes. Benjamin’s dad was a priest, and his mom was a nun, who had decided to marry. He was terrified, always fearing that his parents would somehow find out he was gay.
*hell no! and don’t even remind me sweetie. That’s the last thing on my list. But since were on the subject let me just tell you that I saw the hunckiest piece of meat today.
~You went to the butchers‘? How shocking :0
*Funny. And you know what I mean. He’s 5’9 , tall dark and handsome, and wait till you hear this last one
    ~He’s gay?
*I wish! He-he! He just moved into your old house.
After my fathers death, my mom decided to sell our house and ilipat away. She left on our last night at the house, leaving me abandoned with boxes packed.
It was only after driving to my grandmas house, that I was granted the privilege of Academy School.
~so it sold. That was all I could tell him. All my memories, all my life, had been spent at that house. My first birthday, first bike ride, and eventually, first porch kiss. It was all gone now.
*Someone doesn’t sound to happy…What’s wrong honey?

Step 1

A good place to start is sa pamamagitan ng reviewing other vampire fiction. Read the folklore, read the classics as well as current vampire books. Watch the pelikula and the televisions shows. Then forget about everything else you've read and seen and develop a vampire universe that is yours.

Step 2

Always remember that a horror novel's job is to be horrific. Sometimes the humans win in horror novels, sometimes they're overcome sa pamamagitan ng the evil vampires, but win or lose, the vampire's the bad guy, no matter how glamorously portrayed.

Step 3

What makes a good vampire character? Sensuality, intelligence, and a...
