What, an animated horror movie? Well, kinda. I wanna recommend something that can be seen as PG rated for once, and since I want to save a very special animated horror-themed movie for December, I decided to choose something that was good, but probably not as well known as that (And you’ll know what I’m talking about when pasko comes around) For now, let’s talk about probably the scariest children’s horror movie… At least, from what I’ve seen: Monster House

Monster House takes place in a small town neighborhood, where local kid DJ spies on his neighbor, the elderly and angry Mr. Nebbercracker, who confiscates whatever lands on his lawn. After Mr. Nebbercracker has a puso attack, the house starts to behave in disturbing ways, as if it was alive… And it is. So, DJ, along with his friends, tsauder and Jenny, must stop the house before Halloween night. Now, from the start, you can tell this movie is terrifying, because it’s one of those motion capture animated movies. Now, with it’s flaws, I actually liked The Polar Express, but goddamn, that movie was terrifying because of the animation in it. Same thing with the other motion capture film, Mars Needs Moms, a movie, we’ll say, I didn’t like as much as The Polar Express. But, here, I think the motion capture works well. It moves at a much slower pace and manages to have a very Halloween-like atmosphere about it. Most shots are shown in either early mornings or at the evening, when the sky is all orange, which really fits with the autumn leaves falling to the ground. It really gives you that Halloween vibe that I pag-ibig so much.

The characters, in this movie, I can really like. Usually, child characters aren’t the best, but I think they really did a good job creating them. They do behave like children who are wanting to keep the town ligtas from a house that literally eats people. And it does eat people. The dog, the drunken teenager, the two cops. This sounds like a slasher movie to me. And it almost is. It’s a slasher movie, but madami for kids. Don’t want to scar your children sa pamamagitan ng ipinapakita them Halloween or Nightmare on Elm Street? No worries. Just ipakita them Monster House. It has everything from murder to some haunting backstory that I can’t get into because spoilers… It’s fun for the whole family. The other characters are about what you’d expect in this movie. You got the punk babysitter with a edgy boyfriend, the douchebag cops who don’t do their jobs much and don’t listen to their kids, and the parents who think the kids have finally gone crazy because of them saying there is a monster and they don’t believe them. It’s got a lot of things that you see in most R rated horror movies, yet it’s for kids. That seems to be what I talk about a lot in this movie. Monster House is a very disturbing horror movie for kids, and that’s why I pag-ibig it.

The thing that I pag-ibig about this movie is that, even for a kids movie, it manages to talk about some mature subjects, and I think they got them down pretty well. I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing that a kids movie is madami mature than most adult horror movies. Yeah, I’m talking to you Hellraiser Revelations. Most people forgot about you, but I didn’t. Even though I really want to, you terrible straight-to-video mistake. The movie gives you quite a lot of mature themes that I kinda like. I guess there could have been madami to it, but hey, it’s a kids movie. Sure, it can be mature and give the kids some lessons, but sometimes, you just wanna screw around and just enjoy something different. I guess that I just like the movie for some of the messages, but I also like the crazy ideas of the actual monster house… Speaking of which, I pag-ibig the house in this movie.

For a kids movie, the house was terrifying. I didn’t think you could make a house terrifying, but they found a way. And I would know, I watched all of the Amityville Horror movies, and I didn’t find that house scary at all. But here, in Monster House, the house is so creepy. I remember this movie disturbing the hell out of movie when I was a little child. As a 17 taon old with the mindset of a weird child, I don’t find it as creepy as I used to, but I can definitely still enjoy it for the horror elements. The house manages to ilipat all on it’s own, with different parts of the house used as body parts. The rug is a tongue, the door is a mouth, the windows are eyes, the chimney is the heart, and the chandelier is a uvula (Which makes it a girl house). And then there’s the ending, which I won’t spoil. It’s too good for me to just spoil right here and now. Trust me, it’s good.

I have to say, Monster House was a pretty good horror movie. One that the whole family can enjoy without worrying about murder, sex, and all the creepy stuff you see in horror movies. It’s scary enough for adults to get scared of, but enough of an interesting premise for children to enjoy. The movie did get enough popularity to get a video game based on it, but nothing much else, unfortunately. I wish this movie could get madami recognition. It really is a great movie. Take care.

I remember a time when people were talking about how amazing Dead puwang 2 was, and while it’s not a bad game sa pamamagitan ng any means… I’m sorry, I just don’t get why people call it the best in the series. Well, if it was this or Dead puwang 3, I could understand. But honestly, my paborito in the series is and will always be the original Dead Space.
Dead puwang follows Isaac Clarke, a shy little boy who travels with a rescue team to the Ishimura, a massive puwang mining ship that went radio silent some time ago. Isaac came because his wife, Nicole, is on the ship, and could still be alive. But...

Point and Click horror games were always a paborito of mine. Sure, the gameplay is HORRIBLY limited, but they always managed to tell such interesting stories and have some creepy and disturbing monsters and images. Games like Sanitarium, Darkseed, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream (NOT FUCKING FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S) were all favorites of mine. However, the game that started the point and click horror craze and launched horror games into the mainstream was a little SNES game, that was so disturbing and violent that it never got released in America until a few years later. That game we now...

So it should come as no surprise that I like fighting games. Am I a pro that can go to EVO and beat all the greatest? Hell no. I am just a passionate tagahanga who would no doubt get destroyed in online matches. I even like the bad fighting games like Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and Rise of the Robots. But then we get to today’s game, Fighter Within… for the Kinect. I honestly thought Kinect was over and done with after Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor, but nope, it somehow manages to bomba out garbage. Leeching off of the 360 in the last stages of its life and then moving on to the Xbox One afterward...

Alright, everyone. We’re getting close to the end of the 12 Days of Christmassacre. Today, we’ve got something a bit madami recent. Only about a few years old from Finland. Man, Europa loves it’s horror pasko movies, don’t they? The film is actually an expansion on a short film created in 2003, titled Rare Exports Inc., created sa pamamagitan ng the director of this movie, and was made again to expand the movie a little bit madami to give it a bit madami of a sort of charm. As charming as pasko horror pelikula get. But, I definitely had a lot of enjoyment out of this silly movie. It may sound stupid...

Intros are something that is apparent in many things. Be it shows, movies, and of course, video games. Though they may seem not as important, these can easily turn someone away or leave a pretty dull experience if done poorly. Some games have pretty bland intros, while some don't have any at all. Just a few company logos and then the game starts. But then there are the games that do take you to the intros that stick with you for a long time and just make you want to come back to them, view them every time you turn the game back on. And it's those intros that I want to talk about today. The...

Now, after watching that overrated filth that is Cloverfield (I kid, I just like irritating people), I felt like watching another found footage film. Blair Witch Project sounded good, but I had to pass on it. There was Paranormal Activity, but…. I don’t care. But then I remembered that there was another, made sa pamamagitan ng the Spanish. And this was something that peaked my interest. The 2007 found footage… zombie? Film, REC

So, when you read a fanfic that has some of the worst spelling ever, which is never supposed to be in a story, I die a little. But, this fanfic made me die madami than just a little. So, I present to you all a Simpson’s Fanfic, known only as Lisa Get’s Pregnant. You can’t make that stuff up. The may-akda really thought this pamagat was appropriate.
So, we start with some of the worst spelling ever that makes you think English was not the authors first language. So, the fanfic begins with Lisa and Bart trapped in a cave after snow collapsed on it. There is no reason or explanation as to how this...

Okay… So I never actually played much Kingdom Hearts games. I played the first game with my friend, and thought, “Boy, this is fucking stupid, but I liked that gameplay. Maybe if they worked on the Pagsulat a little more, I’d try out madami of this game”. And then I played Kingdom Hearts 2… The Pagsulat never got better, but hey, who cares at this point. Let’s talk about how great Kingdom Hearts is.
So I did not play Chain of Memories before going into 2, (Mistake on my part), so I just read a few pages on the plot paglalarawan so I could be less confused, and came to the conclusion...

Why can’t people ever fix their security in prisons? I mean, for goodness sake, you’d think that after years of people breaking out through the sewage system Shawshank Redemption style, prisons would increase security, or at the very least, use some stronger cell bars. But, no, they always leave one crack in their prisons to allow prisoners to escape… So, naturally, video games have quite a lot of those. In video games, it seems that getting out of those prisons are as easy as getting out of any. So, today, I want to share with you all the ten best prison breaks in video games. First,...

I swear, this is starting to become a common thing. Anyway, here is another listahan of things that disturb me. Whether it’s movies, games, tv shows, and stories, as long as it is disturbing, it can go on the list. So, lets stop wasting time, lets get on with the list.

#10: Seikon no Qwaser - For once, I am going to look away from the creepy kind of disturbing and look over at the weird kind of disturbing. Now, Seikon no Qwaser is easily one of the most screwed up anime I have ever seen in my life. There isn’t much to say about it other than it is about a boy who gets his special powers sa pamamagitan ng drinking...

#20: Angel Beats

Oh god, this anime was depressing. The anime is about a group of students who enter a high school that is a sort of limbo that is made to help the students pass onto the susunod world. Here, they rebel against god, and fight against a girl named Angel. Now, if there is anything this anime does right, it’s its story. It is just so original and something that hasn’t been done before and I pag-ibig it. Another thing that needs to be pointed out is it’s animation. Sure, some of you nitpickers out there will say it looks just about the same as any other anime, but then, that...

#30: Arthur

Here it is. The ipakita of my childhood. Arthur was about a world of anthropomorphic animals, and the main one being Arthur, who lived in a simple town, and was taught new things, along with his friends. This ipakita was on the PBS Channel and was made to be an educational show. Again, call me pathetic all you want, but this ipakita was amazing. The first time I saw this, I didn’t know how this was an educational show. I didn’t see the thing that I saw on all educational shows where the characters would talk about science, math, words, or other stuff like that. But actually, this...

It is no surprise that I pag-ibig the Persona franchise (And I assure you, I will be talking about the franchise later on this list), and it is clear that it has a ton of dark subjects in those games, but it always comes back to happy days, spending time with friends. And then Catherine comes along to turn those subject matters up to eleven.
Catherine follows Vincent Brooks, a huge loser of a guy who is scared of commitment to his girlfriend, Katherine, with a K. But things start to get real crazy when he starts to experience nightmares where he must climb a tower, and if he dies in the dream,...
