The Man With No Eyes Collection (3): Mask
When the curtain rises, all is forgiven.
I’ll brush it all off with a movie-star smile,
A genuine laugh, but my eyes must be hidden,
The truth they contain is considered too vile.
My voice is a song that will play through your ears,
And invite you to dance to the sound of my tune,
I take a bow, deeply, and drink in your cheers,
I’ll always remain here,
You’ll come see me soon.
A new araw is dawning,
“Quick, put on your mask!”
And hurry outside, meet the crowd.
“Where’ve you been?”
With fanciful sagot to all that you ask,
I’ll always wait here for you,
Come back again.
I’ll serve you a tale wrapped in shiny embellishments,
A story I’m certain you’ll never forget,
My task’s to perform, and yours is to relish it,
Through this, we can bond,
Though you don’t know me yet.
Still, I’ll leave you blind in your own admiration,
The glow of the stage, all that’s left at the end,
There is one madami name for it - exaggeration.
I can’t help but lie to you,
My dearest friend.
So the curtains will part, as I don my disguise,
You’ll watch me with wide eyes that shine like the moon,
The attention from you is what keeps me alive,
I’ll always remain here,
Please, come see me soon.
This one's the longest so far. I really try and take the ideas of "mask" and "performance" and engage the audience with a fanciful and rhythmic way of speaking, while ipinapakita the cracks of reality underneath.

Introduction
Everybody has a friend. Someone to talk to, to share your secrets with. Someone in this cold cruel world that you could trust. A friend doesn't exactly have to be a person. It could be a pet, a journal-sometimes a banana-or even a rock. A friend doesn't have to be real, either. A character from a story or movie, perhaps? But that's still something everyone can look at, hear, or feel. Well, some of those make-believe friends, not actors, are things only you can look at, hear, and feel. Now those are called imaginary friends, as you probably know. Imaginary mga kaibigan can be anything you want them to be. An animal, a creature you made up, a monster, or just another human being. There are rare cases when special people have imaginary mga kaibigan that...are not exactly in the afterlife. But, no matter what, whatever kind of friend it is, that one true friend will always be there for you.
Always.
Always.
Always...

It was the susunod day. I got dressed nervously, had Bruno thought I was a helper? I put on a blue sando that sinabi "Do I Look Like I Care?" and skinny jeans. I ran outside to look for the bus, it wasn't there. I waited and waited, but it never came! I ran to school. I finally got to school no one was in the halls. I realized everyone was in class. I wrote a fake note in cursive the best I could. When I walked into class I gave the teacher the note. She read happily. Not looking angry at all, she sinabi "Oh! I didn't give you a note. It was saying the bus driver was sick and there were no subs availble. Sorry!" I replied with " It's fine"
