“So, you can’t wait to start?” Bowser sinabi with a sneer as he closed the distance between him and the green plumber with just one stride.
Luigi blinked in surprise. Bowser’s expression seemed void of all sorts of hidden tricks up his sleeve (if Koopas wore sleeves). If Bowser was planning something especially devious, he certainly wasn’t ipinapakita it right now.
“How about you tell me where my brother is,” Luigi feebly suggested, “and maybe we can get somewhere without so much as a struggle? Then you can kick our asses—well, mine—as payback for all those times I foiled your plans?” He snorted to himself—as if Bowser would even consider that idea….
“Hmm…Actually, that just might be a good idea,” Bowser said, much to Luigi’s shock. He actually stopped to think about it?! “With all the times you foiled our plans, you proved yourself to almost be even madami annoying than Mario himself ever was!”
“So give in,” Luigi tempted further, hoping that Bowser would actually be interested enough to grab the offer sa pamamagitan ng the hook.

Luigi sighed as he walked into the door. He could only think of Yoshi, his green dinosaur friend, back there. He thought of how bravo he was, to put himself in between him and Kamek’s shot. Not just brave, utterly selfless—sacrificing in the place of a friend had always been considered a core act of nobility. He wondered idly what would have happened if his pal hadn’t done that….
Luigi shook his head. No, that wouldn’t have happened, he argued with himself. Yoshi gave me this chance; he knew that I’d have to face Bowser, he knew that it would have to be me who would face him in the end.
The green plumber looked around. The place was mainly a familiar red and gray, with the torches and pillars. For some strange reason, it reminded him of the boss levels of every notable Super Mario game—where taking Bowser down would be as easy as getting around him and pushing the switch to drop him off at the lava…
He sighed. If only it could be as easy…
“Surprise, motherfucker.”

“Looks like I’ll have to deal with you guys myself,” Kamek sinabi in a sneering tone. Luigi and Yoshi could tell that he wasn’t going to try any of his tricks anytime soon.
“Tired of your games?” Luigi taunted, though he wasn’t sure if it really was a taunt. ibingiay the way Kamek sneered and his abrupt shift of tone compared to when he’d summoned his shadow underlings, he wasn’t sure if his response to Bowser’s right-hand man—who, even Luigi himself has to admit, was a powerful magician in his own right—was a taunt or a bluff.
“Don’t worry—Lord Bowser won’t even have to be bothered with the ghastly sight that you two are!” Kamek’s tone made it seem that he regarded the two as nothing but garbage. That was exactly it, though—with his fury, he could actually be capable of getting sadistic and finishing them off before Bowser even could, whilst suffering a slow and torturous course.
“We’ll see about that!” Luigi turned in shock to hear that Yoshi had followed in with his “bluff.”

“What’s up, pal?” Yoshi asked in a hushed voice as he practically limped toward his equally battered friend.
“It’s all the same,” Luigi whispered, madami to himself than to Yoshi; for all he knew, it was as if the green dinosaur wasn’t there. “Since the very beginning, it has always been the same.”
“What is?”
“The soil key-eyes monster back in Yoshi’s Island, Lakithunder from World Seven, King Boo from Luigi’s Mansion, and finally the labyrinth that required the jewel that got us past Bowser’s security system…”
“And…?”
“They all followed through the same procedure.”
“I’m…not following you, Luigi.”
“Huh. I guess I kinda confused you, didn’t I? I’ll a-break it down to you in rather simpler terms.”
“Please do, but”—Yoshi looked nervously at the trio of shadow clones that were still surrounding them, tense and ready to attack at just on moment of an advance—“just do make it quick, though. I can tell that even though these guys won’t make a ilipat until we advance to attack, they likely won’t be waiting here forever.”

“Unbelievable,” Luigi huffed under his breath. “It’s a-like we were kicked back at the very start of our trip to rescue Mario and the others….”
“Kinda like the whole point of us being ‘sent back’ to Yoshi’s Island, then to World Seven and finally Luigi’s Mansion,” Yoshi replied flatly, knowing that, as Kamek had pointed out, he’d already ibingiay hints about the foes they were set to face and they had been too slow to figure it all out.
“You seriously didn’t see through my little hints?” Kamek sinabi tauntingly, as if giving confirmation to Yoshi’s silent assumption.
Luigi narrowed his eyes and stared, seething, toward Bowser’s right-hand Koopa. Likewise, and in a similar fashion, Yoshi just kept silent as he glared daggers toward Kamek.
“Oh, how scary,” Kamek mocked. “I’m practically shaking on my broomstick.” Then he laughed boisterously. “Playtime’s over, fools, let’s get to it, or are you standing there to give me the sign that you surrender?”
“Surrender?” Luigi sinabi suddenly, in spite of himself. “Not likely, pagong mage.”

“What just happened to Yoshi’s Island?” Luigi sputtered.
Yoshi was just as flabbergasted as the green plumber. “I—I have no idea.”
“We should see where—” Luigi turned around for the door, only to see that it was now gone.
“The…the door! It’s gone!” Luigi screeched.
“What!” Yoshi screeched in reply.
“But that’s impossible,” Luigi panted. “I mean, we had just a-gone through a door, and it led us here, and now we look behind and it’s gone!”
“What could it mean…?” Yoshi shook his head, confused with what was going on and exasperated with all the confusion everything is giving him. “Could Yoshi’s Island have been…gone?”
Luigi considered that, but he said, “Gone or not, that just won’t explain why or even how could the island have disappeared like it did.”
“True, but…”
“Add to that the truth that we’re here in a-what looks a lot like World Seven.”
“You got me there, Luigi.”
“But…since when did a door of just any walang tiyak na layunin house serve as a portal all the way to World Seven?”

“Let’s a-go!” Luigi sinabi as he and Yoshi made their way toward the door plainly waiting at the end of the hallway.
The green plumber, not wasting a segundo to spare, opened—well, madami like yanked—the door open, and they both rushed to whatever was waiting at the other side.
To their surprise, what waited for them at the other side was a totally different scenery—so different that it made them wonder if they were still inside Bowser’s Castle.
“Are…are we still in Bowser’s Castle…?” Luigi wondered. Their surroundings were so unlike the hot and deathlike interior of the Koopa King’s domain—right now the main elements that made up their environment were green, lots of green. Grass, trees—a forest, to be exact.
“How did we end up in a forest…?” Yoshi gasped, asking the exact same tanong in Luigi’s head. Then he narrowed his eyes. “Hold on—there’s something about this forest that’s so familiar….” He took a closer look at the trees and then he exchanged a shocked look with Luigi, who looked just as shocked as the former.

Luigi pondered deeper onto the tiny riddle Bowser had left them with.
“Two heads, five tiles off and three corners out,” he muttered to himself repeatedly, eyeing the two statues, the door from which they’d first entered back and forth.
“Um, Luigi…?” Yoshi noticed the green plumber from the corner of his eye. “What are you muttering about…?”
“There’s something about those two statues, and the door that we came in earlier—something’s off…,” he mumbled, not really talking to Yoshi at all.
The green dinosaur frowned. “ ‘Something’s off’? I don’t get it—what is it about those statues—and the door—that makes you think that—” Suddenly he stopped; he’d finally understood what his plumber friend was getting to.
He was having a sleuthing moment.
Go get ‘em, Luigi, Yoshi cheered in his head. There had been just few, but far precious times when his pal’s strange talent for solving puzzles and riddles had been the main reason they’d gotten this far.

Luigi and Yoshi ran as far as they could—as fast as they could—as Bowser’s army was slowly beginning to gain enough strength to break free from the Birdos’ and the Yoshis’ “chain” to hold them back.
“Quick, Luigi,” Yoshi shouted, dodging a Spiny egg that a Lakitu had thrown at his direction. “We need to hurry—if these guys finally block the road, I doubt we’ll get another chance!”
“Ugh, coming,” Luigi panted, giving put just as much effort as Yoshi to dodge the attempts coming at him; it would only be a matter of time before the mass of Bowser’s crew blocked their way to the gates—permanently.
Then, as if Luigi and Yoshi’s fears were read, a handful of Koopas and Parakoopas blocked the gates.
Luigi panted in exasperation.
“Oh no, you don’t,” Yoshi hissed, throwing an egg to their direction, he hit it with so much power that few of the Koopas and Parakoopas blocking the way practically flew from the impact.
Luigi raised an eyebrow at Yoshi’s direction.

Luigi and Yoshi looked behind them from where the voice had come from.
To their surprise, it was exactly as they had assumed the voice had come from.
“Birdo!” Yoshi cried with relief.
“In the flesh,” Birdo answered, half-smug. The other Birdos beside her murmured in agreement, their tones echoing the semi-smugness that radiated from the one who had just spoken.
“We could sure use some help,” Luigi breathed; part of the tension that had only been building up from within him had eased some when he and Yoshi’s kulay-rosas friend had shown up for help. Then worry sprouted up from its place. “What are you doing here, Birdo?!”
Birdo sniffed disdainfully, as with the seven other Birdos with her. “I’m offended, Luigi—we stopped our paghahanap for our Prince Charmings halfway to come to your aid, only to have you questioning as to why we bothered helping you?”
Luigi shook his head. “No, Birdo, that’s not it. I appreciate that you all have come to help us, and I don’t mean to underestimate any of you, but…I doubt the two of us”—he gestured to him and Yoshi—“plus the eight of you”—he gestured to Birdo and her...

“Bowser!” Luigi and Yoshi gasped in unison.
“Like no other,” the Koopa King said, as if to confirm their assumption.
The silence dragged eerily. It was hot, considering Bowser’s kastilyo had a reputation for being in a rather volcanic atmosphere. But despite the heat, and the constant surge of lava that occurred around the castle’s outside walls every now and then, the eerie silence made the whole scene seem rather…chilly for the heroes.
Bowser grinned evilly at the green plumber, causing Luigi to blink and suddenly shrink from the pose of where he stood.
“Hello, Luigi, I’ll have you know that your brother’s having a blast in my slumber party,” Bowser began.
Hearing the Koopa King’s mention of Mario was like having boiling water poured out into his ears. Luigi stood straight from the once-shrunken form he’d just done and seethed at Bowser with narrowed eyes.
“What have you done to Mario, you…you FIEND?” Luigi snarled viciously.
Bowser laughed, and mock-trembled as if oblivious to Luigi’s anger and Yoshi’s dagger stares at him. “Ooh, I’m so scared!”

Luigi and Yoshi walked their way past the kastilyo door. Yoshi glanced once at the green plumber as the duo made their way deeper and deeper into Bowser's territory, and was replied sa pamamagitan ng Luigi's nod—and a straight set on his pursed lips.
Soon Luigi stopped; Yoshi felt like he should do the same, too.
"Luigi?" Yoshi asked, staring intently at the thin Mario brother's face, looking for some sign of regret—like he'd wished he'd let Yoshi talk him out of the whole rescue thing in the first place.
But, to his surprise, there was none.
"What's wrong?" Yoshi asked again; the silence was getting to him.
Luigi narrowed his eyes toward Bowser's Castle, in which the doorway was just inches near them. True, the fact that they had not begun an assault despite the fact that they had infiltrated the Castle's security was fascinating, but it wasn't of Yoshi's main concern right now.
"What will happen to us…by the time we enter this door?" Luigi asked, finally speaking out since they'd passed sa pamamagitan ng the door.

I've always been a tagahanga of Yoshi, and he's awesome, and I'd pag-ibig to share with you guys why I pag-ibig him Yoshi.

In the good ol' days, back when I was a little kid, I had finally purchased Super Mario World, a game all my mga kaibigan wanted me to buy. I did and I swear, I was coolest kid in school. Yoshi's game debut was amazing, I loved everything about that game and so did my friends. About a week later, (It took that long for me to get the game lol) Super Mario world 2 was in the bag on my hands, and I had to wait what seemed like a 4 oras car ride to play it. I played Super Mario World 2, and I was flooded with Yoshi's! The SNES screen was covered with them, and man oh man, I loved that game, but it was easy to beat. I went to Mario Party 2 for entertainment on a fall evening, and I saw him again. Yoshi. For Four years, what I call now as the "Mario Depression" I never saw him. For a little nostalgia, I picked him. And again. And again. I grew attached to the little dino. And man, I sure creamed my mga kaibigan with him.

It had been a week since the tenis tournament had ended, and everybody in the kabute Kingdom had now settled down after all that hype.
It was about ten-to-eight in quite a rather pleasant spring morning. The denizen's in town were mostly taking a stroll in this part of Toad Town, or tending the gardens at their houses.
Mario meanwhile, was entering his own residence. Coming back from his mailbox with today's mail. Luigi on the other hand, was flicking through channels on the TV set.
He seemed to be a little distraught toady, not finding a good program that caught his attention. "Anything good on the telly, bro?" Asked Mario as he sat down on the dining mesa nearby. "Nope." Luigi answered, who switched it off and lightly threw the remote on the mesa in front of him. "It's all morning reports and programs that are uninteresting."
"Well, it's that time of the morning." Mario replied. But Luigi just sighed in disbelief, slouching himself further into the couch. "Suppose."

In Bowser's Castle:
"Sir," one of the Hammer Bro soldiers said, "our resources have gathered that King Boo, who bears the key, is gone."
"Gone?! Dafuq, what do you mean, 'gone'?" Bowser roared in rage. He didn't like what he'd just heard.
The Hammer Bro soldier tripped back a few steps. "Uh, what I meant to say was...Your Highness, according to our Parakoopa troops, they have ibingiay us intelligence that King Boo is no longer where he is."
"Well, where is he?"
"He's not around...It's as if...he's really gone, like he's dead?"
"Who could've done that?!"
"I don't know for sure, Your Highness..."
"Dumb fuck, you should know!" Bowser snapped.
"It's quite...unclear, Sir. The reception was all messed up—"
"You're the one who'll get messed up if you goddamn don't figure it out!"
"Something messed up the reception—or rather, someone did. Apparently King Boo wasn't the only one around in the mansion when he was last there. Whatever he did, he jammed it up—his activity got in the way of our contact with King Boo."

Yoshi laughed with him.

Yoshi's expression suddenly turned unhappy.
"What's wrong, Yoshi?"
"W-ell, I'm just wondering—we were able to beat King Boo and all, but..."
"But what...?"
"That's it?"
"What do you mean?"
"What I meant to say was, nothing happened after that? We were just here to beat ghosts—nothing was left to help us defeat Bowser? No susunod clue, no riddles at all?"
Luigi frowned. "Come to think of it...you're right. What was the point of coming here, if we wouldn't be getting any madami clues?"
Yoshi just shrugged.
It was then that Luigi noticed something shining on the dimly-lit background.

"Get out of Yoshi's body, you kingly pain in the butt!" Luigi hissed.
Yoshi (or rather, King Boo inside Yoshi's body) laughed. "Defeat me, and you'll be sure to get him back." The possessed Yoshi leveled an evil look at the green plumber. "But I wonder...can you defeat your own friend in the process?"
Luigi aimed the nozzle of his Poltergust at Yoshi—feeling uncomfortable as he did so; he couldn't imagine the thought of kicking the butt of the very person who kicked bad guy butt with him.
Calm down, Luigi sinabi to himself, after all, it's not like that's really Yoshi, right? Deep inside him, that's King Boo. So don't feel too bad about beating him up. Seeing yourself beat Yoshi up while knowing it's actually King Boo possessing him is a wholly different thing compared to what you really think it actually might be.
Luigi backpedalled over the words he'd just thought of. Was it different?
"You better act fast, you numbskull," King Boo said, as, using Yoshi's body under his possession, he began to take a swipe at the green plumber. "Act fast or else your own friend just might bring an end to you!"

Luigi looked around the room. Back and forth—twice, thrice and deliberately.
But it was still the same—King Boo was nowhere to be found.
“Come out, you hell of a con artist!” Luigi seethed as he looked around. He felt ridiculous with the fact that the lack of response made him feel as if he were talking to himself, but it couldn’t be helped—King Boo was a total no-show at the moment.
“Now you’re going to chicken out of this fight, King Boo?” Yoshi sinabi among the walls, pretty sure that even though he’d likely get no response at all, there was no doubt King Boo was listening to their complaints. “You conjured up a multitude of ghosts to do your bidding yet you yourself can’t even man up and fight—”
Yoshi’s sentence was cut short when something slashed at him from behind.
“Ugh, what was that all about?!” Yoshi complained, slowly working his way up from the blow that hit him and knocked him to the floor. “That was some force that hit pinned me.”

“Huh?” Luigi frowned while flashing the lights on some approaching ghosts. “I think you put it down when you were mumbling all that giving up mumbo-jumbo.”
“I didn’t throw it, did I?” Yoshi asked desperately.
“Not that I remember. The only thing I saw—despite the fact it was pitch black, though when those larawan were flashed it seemed to lighten up the room a bit—was that you took it off and put it down. After that, I can’t recall if you ever did anything else to it.”
“Looking for this?” King Boo laughed. The two looked up to see Yoshi’s Poltergust floating away from arm’s reach, and kept locked up in a mini vault.
“Why you—” Yoshi was out of a bad enough word to cuss at King Boo for what he’d done.
“The key is hidden within any of these ghosts,” King Boo said, obviously enjoying Yoshi’s moment of inconvenience. “Beat these ghosts, and maybe you’ll be able to find the key for that precious vacuum. But I doubt you’ll be able to last long with all these ghosts.”

King Boo snickered. “Merely a trap to not only get you to quit, but also to get you to give up altogether.” Then he added with an evil smirk, “But there were no illusions involved—everything you saw before you were real. “I’m sure there’s a reason why we were asked to come here before saving Mario and the others....,” Luigi murmured.
Yoshi nodded, his mouth set in a straight and serious line; it crept the green plumber out too much. “Yes, I suppose you’re right, Luigi, you’re absolutely right—I fear the reason we were asked to come here was to realize that the quest we started was a waste of time.”
