You guys have probably heard all of this before, but I'm posting this anyways. This is just a little update/reminder on Bella's past and where she is currently...

Bella Watson was born and raised sa pamamagitan ng a single mother, who died in a plane crash when Bella was three. She was then put into foster care and was adopted sa pamamagitan ng that same family, until they all died during an apartment apoy when Bella was nine.
It was that same apoy and the trauma of it that activated the metagene in her DNA, giving her powers that allow her to be immune to heat, as well as to create and control fire.
Following the fire, she escaped social service with another older foster boy named Gavin Haynes. The two lived on the kalye for about a taon until Bella tried to pickpocket a woman and accidentally revealed her powers to her.
The woman's name was Amelia Harwell, a millionaire real estate company owner who had recently adopted her grandson (Eudore "E" Foster), who also had powers he was working through at the time. She took in Bella and Gavin in hopes that Bella would help E figure out how to manage his powers (his eyes can turn a solid red and liquidate other peoples' insides). Amelia eventually ended up adopting the two.
When Bella was fifteen and Gavin was eighteen, on their way tahanan early from a Halloween charity benefit, they got into a car accident with drunk drivers that ended up killing Gavin. Distraught, Bella ran away from tahanan and joined the Ukranian Mob of Gotham known as the "Whisper Gang" (under special circumstances- because she had powers). During the training Bella received there, she learned how to use a gun, fight, and control her powers. A taon later, during her induction, Batman showed up, and Bella was told she had to kill him to be fully inducted. She refused, and helped Batman to take them all down. Consequently, Batman gave her two options: sumali her fellow gang members in Belle Reve, or sumali a team that he was forming under the Justice League. Bella chose the segundo option and joined the team under the alias "Mercy," using an outwardly walang tiyak na layunin and eccentric personality to distract people from asking tanong about her past.
When Bella turned nineteen, she was seen boarding a plane for a mission, but the plane never landed. The League presumed her dead, until several months later when she appeared asking Nightwing for help taking down a new generation of Whisper Gang members. The Justice League found out she was alive, and offered her a position as a gang specialist.
At the same time, Bella also works at Harwell Real Estate Headquarters in Gotham with her brother E. The two of them live together between two penthouses in both Gotham and New York City.
