I sat outside the bio ship, alone. I was the first one back, which was strange considering I was the last one informed.
‘Megan, is everything okay?’ I asked mentally
‘Thalia! We’re under attack! Cheshire woke and attacked us! She called in reinforcements too. We’re outnumbered. Super Boy and Artemis are down. We need back up. Call in the league. Tell them where the bomb is and where we are. Do not try to fight with us. It is a hopeless battle’ she ordered.
‘”Batman! The team is under attack. They have found the bomb, but were ambushed sa pamamagitan ng Cheshire” I sinabi into the comm. unit.
“Where is the bomb?” Batman asked
‘Megan, where’s the bomb?’ I mentally asked
‘In Central Park beside the pond, under a fake rock’ Megan replied
“It’s under a fake rock, beside the pond in Central Park” I said
“Thank you Thalia” he sinabi “The league will be there momentarily”
I felt helpless. I couldn’t help my mga kaibigan or my sister. I couldn’t stop the bomb. I couldn’t do anything.
‘Megan, are you sure you don’t want me to come help?’ I persisted
‘Unless you have an army up your sleeve, then- AAAHHHH!!!!’ She broke off into a scream. That was the last straw.
“Thanatos, come!” I yelled. He flew down from a tree.
“I need an army. Can I make a dead one?” I asked. He nodded. I smacked the ground. Skeletal hands erupted from the ground, grasping the air. Thirty dead soldiers sprouted from the ground. I blasted them with my dark powers. They grew skin. It was extremely pale, but it was skin.
“Dead! Follow me!” I screamed. They followed me to the place where my mga kaibigan were fighting. Megan saw me and gasped.
“Un-dead army anyone?” I smiled. I turned to the dead.
“CHARGE!” I screamed. The dead charged the living. I saw Cheshire start to break from the group. Not on my watch. I intercepted her.
“So, Cheshire. You ambushed my team and expected to get away with it. You’re pretty stupid for an assassin.” I crossed my arms.
“I guess I’ll go turn my self in” she said, walking right into Thanatos. I looked to her left and saw the fight was almost over. Only a couple enemies remained.
“Thanatos, be a dear and get rid of the dead soldiers” I asked kindly
“So, what’s next? Hand me over to the authorities?” Cheshire
“Not yet. First, someone needs to talk to you” I smiled and dragged Cheshire over to the group.
“How do you do that?” Robin asked, amazed. It was the segundo time I’d caught Cheshire today. The sad thing was, both times, it was easy.
