“I still don’t know how you did that” Robin admitted
“I’ve always been good with kids” I shrugged
“I think he likes you” Kent laughed from inside the helmet.
“Shut up” I said, my face red.
“Nobody sinabi anything” Kalder said
”I was…talking to…myself” I muttered. I glared at Kent. He laughed.
“Liana, was the spell you put on Grad and Tala permanent” Kalder asked
“To an extent. It will stay on until I remove it” I explained
“Okay. We really don’t want them turning back to normal right here or else we’d be in big trouble” he sighed
“Good point” I nodded
“AW MAN! I didn’t get a souvenir from this mission!” Wally complained
“Actually, Wally you did. When Amber shot magic at you and took you down, she left a small trace of her magic sign on you” I explained
“What?” he cocked his head.
“Imagine it as if she took chemicals and threw them at you. Even though the bulk of it is off, you still have the residue on you. It will eventually fade, but for now you reek of untamed magic” I explained again
“Hey, are you saying I smell?” he demanded
“You don’t have much of an attention span, do you?” I sighed “And, yes. You do smell. We all do. Everyone who was touched sa pamamagitan ng magic today does. That includes my magic”
“Really? What does it smell like?” he asked
“All magic smells the same: it smells like power mixed with glitter. The stranger the magician, the higher the power/glitter ratio. For example, my magic is madami of a three part power one and a half part glitter, while Amber’s was an equal two part ratio” I explained
“Ooooh. I get it now” he smiled
“Do you really?” I asked
“No” he admitted quietly
“All magic leaves residue on the person who touches it. It all smells like power and glitter. The madami powerful the person, the madami power in the smell. Get it now?” I smiled. He didn’t respond.
“I think you broke him” Robin laughed. I snapped in front of his face a couple times. I looked at Robin, who came over. He slapped Wally across the face. Still no reaction. I got up and walked over to Artemis.
“Hey, Artemis, can you- oh no” I said. Out the window, a bird was in mid flap. I looked down and saw a kid about to catch a flying disk. I turned back to Robin. He looked scared.
“Faith…what’s happened?” he asked. I didn’t reply.
“Not you to!? I don’t want to be alone. Not now” he pleaded
“Robin. T-time is frozen” I whispered.
“I’ve always been good with kids” I shrugged
