A smile lit her face. This guy never stood a chance. She pulled out her crossbow, aimed, and fired it. She laughed gleefully when the tip of her palaso snagged his coat, pining him to the wall.
“Aw. You should never steal from my bank. It isn't very nice,” she taunted.
She took the bags of money, throwing them down to the police, who had just arrived.
“He's all yours!” she called before melting into the shadows.
Mt. Justice, 10:00 am
Robin walked into the mountain, a foul mood hanging around him.
“Rob!”
Wally ran to hug his best friend, but Robin simply stepped out of the way. Wally slammed into the pader and Robin headed on his way. Wally followed, looking wounded and broken.
“Hello Robin!” Megan called cheerfully as she watched him hanay ng mga arko over the couch.
He didn't reply. Megan looked at Wally.
“Wally! You're nose is bleeding!”
She quickly prepared to nurse him as Artemis entered. She had been training with Wally when he had entered and saw the exchange.
“What's with Robin?” she asked.
“He's in a mood,” Wally explained as best he could, despite the ice pack Megan was pressing to his nose. He yelped when it touched his hot skin.
“Thank you kid obvious.”
“I don't know. Why don't you talk to him?”
Artemis shrugged. She walked over to Robin, leaning over the sopa to talk to him.
“What's got you so upset?” she asked.
Robin didn't answer, shooting her a deadly glare. Artemis raised her eyebrows and diverted her attention to the news. It clicked.
“Are you upset because there's another hero stealing your gigs in Gotham?”
“Yes! She's already taken out five crime scenes before Batman and I ipakita up!”
“She?” Wally asked but it sounded madami like “chi?”
“Yes! We don't even know where she comes from! She just appears!”
“Calm down, Robin. You and Bats are still the Dynamic Duo,” Artemis assured.
“Glad you think so.”
“What's that supposed to mean?”
“The newspapers have been trashing us ever since she showed up! Saying that who needs the Dynamic Duo when you've got one female to take care of it!”
Robin slumped into the couch, pouting as best he could without ipinapakita a lot of emotion. Artemis came around, sitting susunod to him.
“Listen. Robin, you're the freaking Boy Wonder! Whoever this girl is, it'll pass. She may even need your help one day. But no matter what happens, we only want Robin, protege of the Dark Knight, on this team. No one can replace you.”
Robin sat for a minute, digesting her words. Artemis waited in anxious silence as he thought. Finally he turned to her with a smile.
“You are so whelming!”

Dick’s POV:
He let a small laugh escape through his mouth. He knew it was Artemis and maybe she knew he was Robin. But it was a tiny chance he looked at her, standing in the crowd talking to Rachel a senior year. He smiled. Artemis was in good hands.
Artemis POV:
“Thanks” She putted the papers in her bag. “tomorrow a need them back so don’t forget them.” “Got it.” Artemis answered. Rachel started to talk “Well, let’s start then, We are now in the hall of the Gotham academy.” Artemis looked around, everybody was to their lessons except a few. The hall itself was made of grey, silvery stone. The pader reflected the blue sky and she thought of the strange boy. “Are you coming or not?” Rachel stood in the giant stanchion. “I’m coming.” As she walked to Rachel remembering the mysterious laugh.
