Becca sat in the corner of her room. The lights were off and thunder rumbled outside. The rain fell as constant as her tears and she tried not to shiver in the cold. Willow, Mercy, and Joy had left yesterday. Robin had ibingiay her the news two days earlier. Now she sat, friendless and unloved, away from the rest of the world. She looked at the marks on her wrist, regretting the pain she had craved. A knock sounded at her door.
“Go away!” she screamed.
“Becca, let me talk to you.”
“No! You and Batman are the last people I want to see! You caused this!”
“But Becca, you need help!”
“That's what everybody says! Why?! If you really wanted to help me, you never would have changed the way things were!”
“We were protecting the others!”
“Morire in paura!”
“What?!”
“Die in fear!”
There was silence from the other end and then Becca found her door kicked open. Black Canary stepped into the room. Becca shot daggers at her.
“Becca, you need help! And I'm going to give it to you whether you like it or not!”
“Tell Batman to place me in Arkham! It's not as bad as you!”
Black Canary grabbed Becca's arm, causing the girl to cry out. Releasing her, Black Canary looked at the blood on her hands and then at the blood on Becca's wrist.
“Becca, what have you done?”
“The only thing I was allowed!” she sneered.
“Let me help you.”
“No! You hurt me! Go away!”
Becca's scream caused Black Canary to fly backwards. Becca looked with wide eyes at the now unconscious sonic siren. Becca backed against the wall, sinking back into the corner.
“What did I do?”
“Your powers are pagganap up. You need help.”
Becca looked at the Dark Knight in her doorway. She looked at her wrists then at him.
“No! You can't help me! You can't fix me!”
“You estola Black Canary's powers. I have none. So what are you going to do?”
“Why do you care? You hate me! Ever since I was Slade's apprentice you've hated me! You fooled everyone else. You really want a reason for Robin to get a different girl. Now you have one! So stop trying to fix me! I will never be good enough for you! You may as well stop!”
“Be quiet! Your emotions are on the overload. If you don't calm down, you'll pass out!”
“STOP ORDERING ME AROUND!”
A wave of power spread out from Becca as she stood. Batman was pushed backwards, but not knocked out. He threw a batarang at her. It sliced her arm and she growled. But it didn't last long. As he caught the thrown amo, Becca fell to the ground in uncomfortable darkness. A sudden blur appeared in front of him. A teenage boy with superspeed.
“OOOO! A boomerang dipped in anesthetics? Cool!”
He sped towards Becca, grabbed her, and sped away. Batman stared in wonder before pulling out a com link.
“Flash, I'll need your help.”
