Essence38154 Hmm you make an interesting point. I didn't realize in Scotland people are getting married at age 16. But, if 16 years old are getting married then, they should be allowed to watch X- rated videos. Most likely the night of their wedding they do the deed. I'm not saying all but, most 16 olds have already lost their virginity. It could of been before they got married or even afterwards. But,I suppose the reason You Tube has a restricted mode is because some 16 aren't considered mature. Maybe they view 16 year olds as still a teen and their brain isn't mature to handle X films. In the United States your considered mature when your 21 because hey, you can drink legally. It's true those porn websites are free for all without any restrictions. If you think about it their free for a reason so you can visit their sites. Usually one of those sites is link to another site etc. But, I'm not sure why You Tube has the restrictions but, I assume to protect the younger audience from being expose to gory and porn. Maybe the You Tube creator and the company is under strict orders to enforce the restricted mode toward minors. So no parent could try to sue the company about their little one watching something so violent or porn. I work with children ages 3-9 they are very technology advance. They love watching Minecraft making and video game making on You Tube. Luckily, it has parental mode so they can't view anything considered for mature audience.
