5 things you'll see in the American Horror Story: Hotel premiere 

It’s finally time to check into the Hotel Cortez!

 — the fifth season of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s horror opus starring Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and about 100 other famous people — premieres Wednesday night.

EW was lucky enough to watch the first episode, “Checking In,” which does not disappoint. We don’t want to spoil it for you but here are five things that you’ll see in tonight’s gory, Gaga-y hour. 

An incredible, mostly silent six-minute introduction to Gaga’s The Countess that involves cocaine, a cemetery, and a foursome involving The Countess, Matt Bomer’s Donovan and another couple that EW was fortunate enough to be on set for. 

The fate of one of the only surviving members of season one’s Harmon family is revealed.
