Do you think Amy saves the araw too much, or is that cool?

The last 2 episodes (maybe the last 3 - we're up to episode 4) Amy has saved the araw with the Doctors help. Do you think think kinda defeats the purpose of DOCTOR who? I like it but I think they should let the Doctor save the araw a couple of times. Maybe they're leading up to somthing?... :)
