I pag-ibig it because I can connect with the characters more. In anime they often narrate character thoughts so you get a deeper feel of what a character is like than just their outer actions. Plus when an anime character dies I can't just flip to another ipakita and see them again like with real life actors/actresses. They're actually dead so it hurts more.
(text pader break) I'm one of those people that doesn't really like anything but comedies when it comes to real life pelikula because I know it's just fake blood and make-up and yeah anime is just animation but the characters are actually bleeding and suffering. Although I don't get scared with horror animes because it's just animation lol x3
(break again) I also pag-ibig anime because you can do madami with it. Like background changes during comedy moments or romance moments. The face cracking and such things are hilarious too. If you tried to do that with actual people it would just look stupid. It's easier to set the mood in an anime than with a real life setting. Don't get me wrong I pag-ibig watching real life pelikula but anime just evokes madami in me when something happens than others.

I think of it as a way to connect with mah friends. for example: At lunch i will say, " i started watching this new anime called ____. i think it is really interesting!" either one of mah other mga kaibigan will watch it, or will already be done with it, and we talk about it. That way, we connect. XD
Anime to me means, A way to escape the life I hate to a place where I can make every thing like I want it to be. To me every thing is better in an anime.
Anime is animation that isn't condescending to it's audience. There's a handful of American cartoons that like to get shit past the censors as often as possible, but they lack the art quality & story anime offer. It's also a window into another culture.
You know, that's probably what I also thought about anime in 1989 when started watching it. I was already into the adult animation on MTV. I guess our opinions on things don;t always change with age.
..I’ll just say that it’s everything to me. It makes up most of my inner world and it helps to keep me sane; Anime is something that I will cherish forever.

Anime means so much to me! I pag-ibig that it' an animated drama and the style is usually beautiful. I pag-ibig most of the tagahanga base and how quirky and lovable we are. There are so many different genres of anime that your bound to find something you like, or if your like me you try and watch a little bit from each. I also pag-ibig how the characters usually become a part of you and if something happens to them or if the anime ends your like "what do i do now?" . My sisters thinks i take fiction to seriously and doesn't understand why i act the way i do about anime. I came on here and i found out that there are so many people like me out there. Anime is our wonderful escape from a dull world. What can i say? being an otaku rocks! :D
