The animation is rather ugly, the plot is boring and just not entertaining, the action was poor, and the characters aren't that great. They just don't have a good personlity to them, i don't think they are put together well. It's like a character anybody could make, with a very over used back story. It's a typical storyline, people fighting a monster and people dying, give the characters a sad backstory. It's just not that creative.
I really don't see the big deal at all. So I dropped it about around episode 7. Frankly, the madami people go on about it to this level, it makes me start to hate it.

i agree about the characters. they could have used madami depth. They were pretty generic. And the animation wasnt that bad... i thought it looked really good when they were fighting titans. but the plot's idea is generic. ill agree with that. in every culture, there is at least one popular story where giant THINGS invade earth.... and this is no exception. but i think the reason i enjoyed attack on titan so much, is not because of the characters or the plot, i just really enjoyed the execution of the show. the first episode was one of the strongest starts ive ever seen in an anime. (and thats saying something, especially since i think SAO has a pretty good start, though the rest of the ipakita just plummeted IMO). but yeah. each episode really wanted to make you know more, it kept you at the edge of your upuan and thtats a huge plus in my opinion. and i loved the voice actors and soundtrack as well :) but im not hating on you. its completely your opinoin and i understand and agree with a lot of your points. but i just dont completely agree with some of them :) im not those crazy AOT fans who defend the ipakita to no end, and say its one of the BEST SHOWS EVAH!!!! =_= they just annoy me, to be completely honest..yeah thats it.

Yeah, I hate Attack of Titan, and you're not making me like it anymore. Yeah, I dislike FMA, Brotherhood is better. Yeah, I pag-ibig Sword Art Online, the characters actually have personality, the story is amazing, it's touching to an understanding point, you relate to the characters better, gorgeous animation, awesome action to a point that it isn't overkill, and it is super cute.

It made such simple things look really realistic. The story I thought could be better executed, but it's still really creative and interesting. The action is amazing and epic. Personally, I find it once of the best anime that 2013 has to offer. Definitely not for everybody; I certainly never thought I'd get into it- but here I am!

I adore the characters; I enjoy seeing how they handle the nearly impossible situations thrown at them. I pag-ibig the amazing animation; can you say Female Titan arc? There were moments where the animations was absolutely gorgeous.

I'm really attached to Jean right now and I've got my fingers crossed he doesn't die. ;u;

I really like the segundo arc of the series a lot better than the first.
