How can i get my friend into Cardfight!! Vanguard without forcing? He does like Yu-Gi-Oh!

So i got this friend who likes Yu-Gi-OH! But he will not watch Cardfight!! Vanguard. Whenever i try and ipakita him the Anime, he would say nah. Not gonna play that card game. I am like you could at least try the Anime than. He refuses to do either stating he is Loyal to Yu-Gi-OH! What should i do? I like Yu-Gi-OH! And even i know how to branch out to different things out there. What should i do without forcing? Thank you. Off topic Saya Yatomi needs to be a returning chatacter in Vanguard. She is so kawaii adorable. Espically when she says Mew, Mew, Mew. So flipping cute in the Vanguard G Series.
