What are your childhood pasko memories?

One taon not sure how old I was but I remember watching Watership Down on TV pasko Eve and I had a nightmare about it!, the smell of Gammon cooking (we still have the pot and the smell still gives me flashbacks)and waking up to find my medyas full of presents and at the toe of it a tsokolate orange.

Plus two charity floats always came down our road, I even asked Santa for a parang buriko

pasko Sagot

Ah yes so many, but the one stands out. Chilling around the pool the entire araw , pagbaba , eating and then finally going to town in the night to watch the town decorations while eating ice cream...
And then the presents!

When I was about 8 I went to buy pasko presents with my Grandma. I can't really remember much, but the feeling is still inside of me. We bought something for every family member and though the tindahan closed long ago, I still see a snapshot of that pasko shopping every time I look at the building. Which is sa pamamagitan ng now an old abandoned, semi-wrecked house. Okay, it was quite abandoned and shack-like then too, but I guess that gave the feeling of it. I can still see the unstable brown wooden gate with its bottom covered in a thick layer of snow, my grandma telling me to go ahead, despite I was a little afraid of the old man who owned the thing. That event had a special atmosphere.

I remember asking for an American Girl doll for pasko one year. I knew that it was a lot of money, but I still wanted it. It just so happened that that taon we celebrated pasko at my grandmother's house. I Nawawala hope. There was no way that Santa knew where I was now. On pasko morning I woke up and went out to the puno prepared to be disappointed. To my surprise, my American Girl doll was underneath the tree. It was one of my paborito Christmasssssssss.......
