If Jacob had imprinted on Bella...

If Jacob had imprinted on Bella, would she have left Edward since she was Jacob soul mate and they had to be together? I’m surprised she accepted it so soon for her daughter, knowing she will have no choice on this. How would she react if she felt she had no choice, when she loves someone else but has to stay with Jacob?

Well what happens if when she grows up and fells for someone else?(not likely since she will grow up learning to pag-ibig Jacob)Will she have to stay with Jacob, no matter what she feels?

I dont think that Reneesme will have to stay with Jacob when she grows older. Remember in Eclipse I believe when Jacob explains to Bella about imprinting, he says that they where going to be whatever the person they imprinted on needed/wanted them to be: a friend, a lover, a protector, anything as long as they were ligtas and happy.

I remember somewhere in Eclipse (if I'm not mistaken) that if a werewolf 'imprints' on someone, that someone does not necessarily have to respond to the 'imprinter'. They have a choice actually. But apparently since that they're 'perfectly designed' for one another, they usually end up together. Bella doesn't HAVE TO stay with Jacob. So, she does have a choice.

If what you mentioned actually happened, I think that would lead to a 'competition' since both of them are (maybe) equally as devoted to Bella. But honestly speaking, I think she still would have chosen Edward. In Eclipse, she mentioned that she was glad that Jacob did not imprint on her.
