I'm fairly convinced that Ariel and Rapunzel wouldn't hit off with each other at all...Rapunzel is all about family, and keeping promises, and wants to be an adult. Ariel is the complete opposite of her. They don't share the same interests. The only thing they have in common is that they discovered the world late in life, but I don't think that this is enough to forge a friendship, because the motivations and their look on the world are so different. Rapunzel sees dangers everywhere but wants to tackle them, Ariel doesn't see danger at all until the shark is directly in front of her nose.
Jasmine on the other hand shares with Ariel the desire to explore and throwing herself into adventures.

^what last 2 said. well said, swanpride, I dont get why people think Ariel + rapunzel have got sooooo much in common, yes their hyper and explore different worlds but as you said have way different interests and values
Jasmine doesnt care about playing it safe and does whatevr she wants just like Ari.
Merida too, i think she would hit it off better with her. besides this is about compatibility not similarity.
