since racism somehow doesn't exist in PATF, Tiana does pretty well for herself. she has a loving mom and best friend, isn't unhappy really unless you count missing her dad. I almost picked Merida, but being forced to marry, of course, is never fun.

I love Tiana and respect her dedication to her dream, but after careful consideration (and I thought about this a lot), she really didn't have it too bad at all. Grew up in her family home, surrounded by loving neighbors, had a loving mother and best friend, had a pretty decent social life despite working so many hours, was generally liked by her customers, etc.

Apart from missing her daddy and wanting her restaurant so much she was blind to everything else, she wasn't that bad off at all.

Rapunzel had an ideal life, hobbies to keep her busy, a loving mother, a best friend!

^that, and generally how no open racism was shown, just some minor segregation, nothing like how it really was, especially in the south.

I don't doubt many white people still befriended blacks, but a rich, sheltered white girl in the south likely wouldn't have.

Aurora gone? Ugh! So unfair... she had no human contact with human people, besides her aunts. I voted for Mulan before, but finna brought to my attention the influence of Mulan's culture, so I'm voting for Merida. Before she was engaged, her life was pretty normal, besides being a princess: I mean, we all have boring classes XD

Tiana worked really hard and never relaxed, but her life was also pretty good. As AudreyFreak noted before, there was little racism in Princess and the Frog. I was surprised that Tiana's best friend was a rich, pampered white girl.

Totally unfair that Jasmine has gone and she's still here.

Can someone explain how Merida's circumstance is worse than Jasmine? It's more or less the same, except Merida has MORE freedom!

She had freedom...she had a complecated relationship with her mother, but she had good circumstances as compared with the other princesses.

She had a messed up relationship, but nothing to the extent of some of the others left.

I agree with Mongoose09. I feel like Aurora and Jasmine should have stayed loger than Merida.

I agree as well, Aurora and Jasmine shouldn't have left so quickly.
