i really don't think they would care about their children as much as eric and ariel would

Well, I was surprised when I saw how many votes were for Belle and Beast. I think that Ariel would not be as good as Belle, because she's too childish herself, and because she didn't know about life on the earth, she needed to study, not to teach someone. Her relationship with her dad proved that she's immature and she couldn't be that responsible to have children and raise them. Eric would probably rather good as father, but he would raise Ariel, it's enough for him.
On the contrary, Belle and Beast would be good parents, maybe one of the best, in compare with others Disney Princess couples.
He..he learned to love, learned the importance of being responsible, the importance of compassion, and so on. Belle was affectionate daughter, her principles in life meant that family circle's the most important thing in her life.

Well, as I said before-
Belle/Beast don't seem the type to WANT to be parents. They seemed absorbed in their own little world.

How can anyone say Ariel would be a bad daughter when she was at least raised by someone somewhat decently? Triton wasn't a bad father, just overprotective.

On the other hand, Beast was clearly raised very spoiled, had an angry temper tantrum and didn't even HAVE parents probably since he was cursed. Learning to be in love with someone does not necessarily teach you how to raise a child, at all. I know plenty of married couples who would not make good parents. They have someone they're in love with, but raising a chil d is a whole different matter.

Ariel is still a bit immature, and Eric was gonna marry a sea witch just because she looked pretty and had a nice voice, but because Ariel can't talk he just blows her off. Belle and the Beast get past appearances and superficial stuff.
