This is backup for JonnaSe's Disney Villain Icon Contest. As no one has been able to get in touch with JonnaSe for over a week now, this will be the temporary backup contest until JonnaSe returns.

Other than a different person running it, all the rules will be the same.

An Icon contest for your the Disney Villians ^^

Every five days a new round will start and I´ll make a pick where you vote for the Icon you like the most.
The one with the most votes wins 3 props and get to decide the next theme.
If the winner doesn't pick a topic within 2 days of winning, I'll pick the next subject.
The winner is still allowed to compete in the next round.
If there is a tie, the person who has won less rounds will pick the subject.

(Ask if you are wondering about something ^^)

Rules:

-The Icon you submit must be 100x100-200x200 (or just a square), if not It will not count.

-You have to make YOUR OWN Icon, Don´t steal an Icon nor take an Icon and change something/add something.

-Please don´t vote for your own Icon in the pick.

-You can only submit one icon per round.

-The villians you have can have in your Icons are the ones that are from Disney movies that are animated. It can be from Disney Classics, Disney Classic Sequels, Pixar Movies and Disney Films with scenes and/or sequences that are animated (like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Enchanted and Pete´s Dragon).

I have started a new way of updating contestants on new rounds. I will send a message to contestants whenever the new round begins. If you would like to be added to the update mailing list just message me.

@MarlenaLovett, Yes you can join, anyone can.
But the song quote can't belong to the villain. For instance, I guess you're using Scar, so you have to use a song quote from the movie Lion King, but it can't be one of Scar's songs.

For instance if you choose Scar, you can use any song quote from the Lion King except the song 'Be prepared' because Scar sang that song.

Circle of Life, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, I Just Can't Wait to Be King, and Hakuna Matata would all be fair game

You can't use that song because Mother Gothel sang it. It has to be a song from the movie, but not a song that the villain your using sings.

If you plan to use Mother Gothel you can only use the songs:
-When Will My Life Begin
-When Will My Life Begin (Reprise 1)
-When Will My Life Begin (Reprise 2)
-I’ve Got A Dream
-I See The Light
-Healing Incantation

There's already been a Singing Villain contest {link) and being allowed to use the villain's original song doesn't require much creative thought.
I think the non-villain song makes the round more interesting. I mean look at the ones we have so far.

I just think that not being allowed to use the villain's song makes the participants be more inventive that's all.

Well, Sugar-N-Spice said it would be ok, so yeah. It isn't that uncreative because it can be any song, not just the villains song, like the round you're referring to.

I see your point about the creativity, but boolander was the winner of the last round so it is her decision.

I'm sorry, I thought that's what you meant when you sent me the theme. If you read the description that is what I had it as. I saw the theme as a retake on the villains to see how we could fit other songs with them. Like Gypsy said, it was to encourage more thought and creativity into the icon.
But it is your choice. I can still change it if you want me too, but with the icons that have already been made, it shows that this theme works quite well.
What do you think?

Well, I just think ppv's icon should count. The creativity is really just up to the user and to be honest, there is already quite a lot of creativity in many user's icons already, so to penalize people for a round because they aren't "creative" it doesn't really make that much sense.

I wouldn't be penalizing her. I would just be asking her to follow the round rules, which would mean using a non-villain song. She could still make another icon. I had it set up like that before she entered so she must not have read read the theme correctly.
Please forgive me if I sound mean. I am not trying to be. I am just trying to avoid having theme repeats or themes that are too similar.

I will not submit another icon, because I have no time.
But I don't understand why anyone can decide instead of a fan who won the round and picked the theme.
And also, it seems that I misunderstand the wording 'doesn't have to be theirs'...

If you read the description, it says "Song has to be in their movie but can't be theirs", but with a misunderstanding so late in the game I think Sugar-N-Spice will make an exception, or at least she should.

Also what happened was that boolander sent Sugar'N'Spice the theme, but Spice misunderstood what boolander meant. Hence the discussion above.

A moment where a villian is winning or is feeling really powerful. Like say when Jafar first turned into a genie and he thought he had Aladdin beat.

Criteria:
-The villain has to be strictly from a show that was on Toon Disney
-The series has to actually be owned by Disney
-Only old Toon Disney Villains. The show's beginning air date can't be later than year 2004.
