We all want to feel ligtas
We all want to feel safe
As I wrote my last soapbox, an email came into my inbox. It was from my college. It warned that three young women had been attacked on the walkway between the north campus, and the main campus. While the attacks were not serious, they were still unnerving, especially to a nervous group of female first taon psychology students, who had to attend tutorials on North Campus in the evenings.
 Reality bites: danger all around
Reality bites: danger all around

This email chilled me, and not in a good ice cream way. These walkways are supposed to be patrolled. With at least one attacker still at large, it hit me at how unsafe I...

Because every soapbox needs an image.
Because every soapbox needs an image.
Yesterday I made it to over 100 ratings and was quite proud of myself. Reason for a virtual party right? or is it? dam da da dam! This is the point Im going to try to establish.

When I think about it, I'm not the best of raters. I'll almost always give things 5 stars, maybe Ill go as far as to give 4 stars for lesser quality. I cant remember a time when Ive gone out right crazy with a 3 bituin rate.

So what I want to ask you is am I a bad rater? or maybe I just choose the things I watch carefully. Do I go soft just not to offend the person who posted the item, or is that okey?

Short and to the point really, what do you think?

So last night, August the 2nd/3rd, depending on where you were, I witnessed a phenomenon I have not seen on the internet for quite some time, I've seen glimmers of it, hints and comments, but I've not had it so blatantly thrust in my face until last night. I am, of course, talking about unity. No, not unity against a 'common enemy' or a 'troll' as many people on the internet assume is unity, but genuine "I can just click something to make someone feel a little better" kind of unity.

You see true believer, I have a faith in one thing, 'The small things count'. Whether it's just a passing 'hello',...
