I guess you're already kind of resolved about this, but I thought I'd tell you my standing on it anyway.
If I receive messages and pader posts asking for me to sumali spots or 'fan' content from Fanpoppers who I have had no prior contact with, and I'm busy, I simply ignore their pleas, with the ligtas assumption that they've sent them to dozens of people, and even if I didn't want to upset them sa pamamagitan ng being non-responsive, they wouldn't notice.
However, when I have nothing on my hands (Fanpop-wise), I tend to check out their content and see if it's any good, and if I think it contributes to the club well, even if I'm not a personal tagahanga of the content, I'll tagahanga it so that fans of the club will prioritise it higher and thus receive enjoyment from it. If it's bad content, I leave it. And I never tagahanga clubs which people ask me to unless I AM a tagahanga of the club, and prepared to contribute content and sumali in at some point down the track to and with that club.
But this is merely my own reaction to such questions. From the points you have raised:
A. You don't want to condone 'medal whoring;'
This is completely understandable, but if the content which they have uploaded is good content which fans of the club they uploaded it to will appreciate, then they're not really a medal whore, merely an avid Fanpopper who's sharing their good content with other fans. On the other hand, f it's bad content ... yes, fanning it would be condoning medal whoring, as the Fanpopper who's uploaded it has obviously been simply spamming people with requests to tagahanga the rubbish they ripped off Google in order to increase their medal tally.
B. You don't want to make anyone mad;
I doubt that sa pamamagitan ng simply ignoring their requests you will make them mad. From past experience, they never respond even if you DO tagahanga their content/join their club unless you send them a message telling them you fanned their stuff and asking for a thankyou. they simply don't notice. Even if they did notice, you haven't done anything wrong sa pamamagitan ng them unless you've told them you hated their content and they shouldn't be spamming you - they have no right to request people to tagahanga their content! the only grounds sa pamamagitan ng which someone could request another to tagahanga their content is if they believe this other person who they're asking for fanning from is genuinly a tagahanga who would be interested in checking out the content. If it's content on a club with not many fans, then why should it be fanned? It's not really benefiting anyone except those who are receiving a medal - who are they sharing the content with? However, if this is the case, and you believe the content worth a fanning even if doesn't interest you, there's nothing wrong with that. There is no conceivable way in which this Fanpopper could be mad or even slightly annoyed sa pamamagitan ng you ignoring their petulent message.
C. You don't really like the stuff they asked you to fan;
This is madami a tanong of what type of Fanpopper you are. Either you decide whether the content is good and relevent to its club, then tagahanga it accordingly, or you decide to only tagahanga things which you yourself are a tagahanga of.
From what you have said, I cannot gauge whether you should tagahanga their content, as I do not know whether their content deserves fanning or not. If you've already taken a look at their content, that suggests that you don't have madami pressing issues to deal with, so there's nothing stopping you heading back and fanning it if you think that fans of the club it's on would appreciate it. If it's good content, and you have the time to tagahanga it, go ahead!
And don't get worried that your helping a medal whore; if it's bad content, they're probably a medal whore, so don't tagahanga it = not helping a medal whore, and if it's good content, they're not a medal whore, so fanning it = not helping a medal whore :) Also, as you stay on Fanpop for longer, you'll discover a lot of Fanpoppers making similar requests of you. Don't worry about it! They don't pay attention to who responds or not, and you're offending nobody sa pamamagitan ng simply hitting the "delete" button if you're havinf Fanpop Moral Qualms about pagganap on their request :)

I did it again.
I accidentally hit the "start chat" tab again.
And couldn't remember how make it go away.
I've had this problem a few times before and have to re-learn it every time.
For some reason, I'm always under the impression that the solution lies under my bista sa tagiliran settings.
It does not.
So now there is an artikulo to remind me, and anyone else who needs it, how to get rid of this dang thang.
Step 1: Under the "contacts" tab, click "I am online." The words, not the pencil. If you click the pencil, it will complicate things and you'll have to reload the page.
Step 2: Click "Log out."
It's not the most obvious way out, but it's easy once you finally remember how to do it, so I hope this helps cut down on some frustration. (If not for you, at least for me susunod time I accidentally open it and frantically paghahanap for a solution. =P)

Yeah, I know this is kinda lame, but this is all I could think up! :'(
Just go to an article, (or look the person who you want to message up) and click their name near the top. Fanpop will ipakita you their bista sa tagiliran page and scroll down until you find the "Message" tab. Click it and ...voila!
Just type your message and send it. If they message you back, your inbox will tell you! Try it!
Sorry if this was lame! :(

Ok, I usually don't make user guides but this one needs to be made. I have seen a lot of picks and a lot of them are boring or annoying. Here is a listahan of steps to help you out.
1. Try to have madami than three sagot if possible. If the tanong is "Who should Jim be with?" Put, Karen and Pam, and then put an answer like neither or Katy.
2.Always have pictures for the tanong if it isn't a yes, no, or maybe question. Pictures bring in madami fans and make the picks madami interesting.
3. Try to ask tanong that people haven't already asked and tanong that people will be interested in. Don't make it boring.
Now these are the three golden steps to making a good, quality pick on fanpop. If you feel I need to add anything, then please leave it in the comments.

I'm guessing a lot of people have all ready have found this problem but if you don't understand then it's like this:
One araw I decided to create a new club of something that didn't exist as a club yet but I couldn't find the 'Create a club' button. Trust me I looked high and low for the thing but couldn't find it. When I logged out of my account at last there I saw it, the 'Create a club button' so when I clicked on it they of course asked me to sign back in but when I did I was the same position I was in before clicking.
For some people this problem don't seem to happen but for people like me who want to create clubs but can't because the button is unavailable well it's frustrating. I've been looking abound for some kind of answer but the only thing that came up was a link link
this only leads to you having to sign in again. I don't know if it's the signing in thing that's the problem but it really shouldn't be.
Please fix this problem Fanpop!
