I know this might make me the worst Cuddy fan in the world, but I really, really hope that doesn't happen...

Cuddy is my favorite character and I want her to be happy, but I don't want her to get a baby(at least not right now, maybe in the series finale or something). I really don't know how a baby would fit into the show honestly, and I don't want it to take away from any Cuddy screen time. I am hoping she gets a puppy lol, that would technically mean she becomes a "mother"

I agree Kellinator...the timing just sucks. Cuddy is my favorite just as much as House, so I agree that the puppy thing would work for me too. lol

I agree with you guys. Cuddy getting a puppy wouln't interfere with the show, whereas Cuddy getting a baby almost certainly would interfere. In saying that, I do have a lot of faith in the writers, so I guess they would make a baby work somehow...

Cuddy trying to handle a puppy could be a real test in how she could handle a baby. LE said that she learns a lot about herself between now and ep 13, so maybe she learns she can't handle a baby or something. And yes I have a lot of trust in the writers, they haven't disappointed me thus far.

Am i the only one who doesn't think that a baby would ruin Cuddy's character or the House/Cuddy dynamic?
On the House/Cuddy front, Cuddy's quest for a baby has bonded them together before, and though it's true that House may be scared off for a while by a baby coming into her life i do not think that for one moment it will irreversibly alter the dynamic they have between them.
On the Cuddy front, really, the writers and producers KNOW that Cuddy is such a loved character. Bringing a baby into her life...i really do not think that that will in any way take away from her character at all. In fact, we may even be able to see a whole new side to Cuddy. And also, she's wanted this for so long and the Cuddy-obssessor in side of me just wants her to be happy.

Good point PG, I've been thinking about it for the last hour and I still kind of have mixed feelings, but I'm warming up to the idea. I know that it wouldn't take away from the House/Cuddy dynamic, nothing will ever ruin that. I want Cuddy to be happy too and I also like that we would possibly get to see a different side to her and see her away from work more. I guess I'm just apprehensive because sometimes on other shows, babies ruin the show, but I do trust the writers to successfully incorporate a baby into the show. Wherever the writers take this, I'm on board for the ride.

i have always (and yes i mean always) been against cuddy getting a baby, i think it would muck up the dynamic to much. its good how it is in my opinion.
however i trust the writers not to give her a baby yet. i mean... come on. Thats crazy!! its not that shes not ready (although shes not) but the show isn't ready. You can't have someone being happy on House for any amount of time.

my huddy-crazy side thinks this might just put a wedge between House and Cuddy, being the anti-baby guy he is, although, from what took place before, maybe there's a possibility, however little, I think it might still work. In a way, House is already like a baby to Cuddy--whiny, needy, stubborn and has ADHD-tendencies. He fights for her affections and attention, having a baby might just give him another thing to fight against--good or bad, I don't know. It should make the show interesting though.

The Cuddy-crazy side of me thinks Cuddy getting a baby is a good idea. I mean, yes, this is a whole new side to Cuddy, a whole new world of possibilities open for her. Though hard it may seem, being in a position she has and the budding thing she has with House...we have to admit, she deserves to be happy now. House is still in a limbo over what he wants from her...I think it's sad that her desire to be a mother, to have her little family, gets to be put on hold just because he can't cope or deal fast enough. I've always wanted the best for Cuddy and if this baby is it, judging from the devastation she felt in 'Joy', I think this might just heal her wounds and give her more reasons to be truly happy.

Then there's my Lisa Edelstein side...I think her character having a baby just gives her more material to work on. Damn, she dserves an emmy already, this baby thing might just seal the deal...not that we need a small statue to show she's a great actress--we already know that, after all.

All in all...I don't know what I want. Baby or not...can I go with MORE Cuddy/Lisa airtime instead?

I agree with PG. And I think a baby would add something interesting to the Huddy dynamic...it might create problems to begin with but House is going to be too jealous of a baby to NOT try to get Cuddy's attention.

And even if something happens that we don't like, there's nothing we can do about it. The writers have already planned this stuff out.

Exactly mrshouse, all we can do is just go with the flow, and I'll go wherever the writers take us.
