	Shantoo picked It's not bad but I prefer ______ (please comment): Kirk is fantastic and very dynamic but realistically as a Captain he's not so good, sure he gets the job done but he is constantly disregarding Star Fleet protocol, it's not a very good example. As captain all the other captains are better except maybe Spock but we all know he's not a very good captain either. But as in terms of the series Kirk has to be the best because without him there is no other. However I have to say no other captain has ever been able to surpass Picard as a captain who follows the rules, is wise and has heart and still get the job done.
