Based on the festival award-winning Ryan McGarry documentary,

Grace was slated to play ER residency director Leanne, described as “a force of nature and a force to be reckoned with.”

Previously announced cast members include Marcia Gay Harden and Melanie Kannokada.

I think there is room for only one ER drama and that is “The Night Shift”! Nobody wants to see politics in a medical show that take place in ER! This is going be a looser! CBS better off making it a medical drama instead of a “Madam Secretary”!

Madame Secretary is actually pretty good if you like that particular blend. It is apparently good enough to be renewed (unlike the long series of generic, bland, utterly forgettable medical shows). But, hey. both MS an NS make CSI Miami look like Shakespeare.

She was great in Californication. Should’ve ended up with Hank Moody.

ER residency director is a miscast in so many ways. MG is not a good enough actress (yet) to be a lead in TV any show. I see it in 2-5 years otherwise she will have a Krysten Ritter TV.career.
