Almost 4 Months Later
Michael and I just got on the plane from Germany and we were heading back to California. I looked at my stomach and smiled, knowing that our daughter would be here in about 3 months. We were both excited as can be about her. When we were in Japan, Michael sinabi that our child shouldn't be a part of the public view just yet, so she would have to wear a mask so she can be protected and have a normal childhood. I told him that I was thinking the same thing, which I was. He found it funny still how we're always on the same page about everything. I had gotten a call from my mom about my dress and she had sinabi that once Michael and I got back to California, that I'd have to try it on to see if it'll work. I was hoping it would, even if I didn't try it on, but mother knows best. So I told her I would go over to the house and try it on when we got back and unpacked from the tour.
I felt a little movement in my stomach and giggled. She was tickling me from the inside, which is usually natural, but it was very strange. Michael looked over at me and raised his eyebrow.
"What are you giggling for?" He asked.
"Our daughter is tickling me from the inside with her little movement." I said, giggling.
Michael gasped a little. "She moved?"
I nodded and he put his hand on my stomach and patiently waited for a couple minutes. Suddenly, he felt her move, too. He gasped and smiled and giggled a little. "Wow, she is really moving around."
I giggled and he took his hand off of my stomach and I put my head on his shoulder. He kissed the tuktok of my head and put his head on mine and held my hand. We were just a week away from being married and then 3 months later, our daughter would be born. I was just hoping she wouldn't be super early and we had prayed nothing would go wrong with her.
Michael and I watched a bunch of walang tiyak na layunin short films, including Say Say Say, which was rather funny to me and still funny to Michael how he would react like that to something that would be considered kahel juice with a little spike to it. We never expected to see the dancing part of Smooth Criminal playing. But everyone on the plane seemed to like it, even the crew liked it. What really shocked us was the fact that before a movie started, we saw a prebiyu of Moonwalker! Michael's eyes were wide and his jaw dropped. They had already come up with a prebiyu for his movie. I looked over at him and saw his face go from shocked...to a bit excited. He really couldn't wait until he saw what they did to Moonwalker. I looked at all the other passengers on the plane and they were excited to know that he made a movie. I was excited, too, though. Mainly because in the preview, the camera crew had caught me and Michael with Kelly, Sean and Brandon just playing around outside when it was slightly cloudy while doing Smooth Criminal. But it was really exciting to see the prebiyu of it before Lady And The Tramp started. Everyone had gone silent and just watched the movie since it would take us a while to get back to California. Michael and I had fallen asleep after roughly 30 minutos into the movie.
18 Hours Later
Michael was looking out the window and started feeling them descend from the sky. He turned to me and tapped my shoulder.
"Rebecca. Rebecca, wake up. We're almost in California." He said.
I fluttered my eyes open and stretched a little bit. Then we heard the pilot talking.
"Attention everyone, we're almost in California. So, put your trays upright, along with your seats and fasten your upuan belts and we'll begin our descent." He said.
We got our seats up and our trays were put up and Michael was holding onto his bottle of kahel juice that he asked for. It was around 6pm in California when we had landed. It wasn't that late, but it wasn't really early like we had thought. We got off the plane with our carry-on bags and went to get our suitcases from the terminal. Bill met with us at first class Terminal 1. The whole time we were on the rest of the tour and on the ride tahanan with our stuff, I haven't had any other symptoms of pregnancy other than the headaches, fevers and morning sickness. The morning sickness left me alone when I was 2 months pregnant, which was good. I didn't have to deal with that ever again...unless Michael wanted madami children, then I'd gladly put up with it some more, not even kidding. I texted my mom, when Bill drove us home, that I'd be over at the house tomorrow at maybe 1 or 2pm. Her reply was: Okay, see you then. Tell us about the tour once you come over! That's really obvious of my mom to tell me that. Well, she was a Michael Jackson fan, too, not just me and my dad and Alex. Eric is kinda sorta his fan, just not so big and Ricky always teased me about it. He only knows Beat It, Man In The Mirror, I Want You Back and a few others. He won't listen to any new ones. But that's just my family. Michael had told me that he was shunned sa pamamagitan ng the other JWs because of Thriller and how they thought he had a belief in the occult.
"That's completely ridiculous. It's just a song that Rod wrote for you. Would your mother shun you like they did?" I asked him.
Michael shrugged his shoulders. "It is really ridiculous. I don't know why they did that. Well, it's not like now how they sent elders to the house to 'checkup' on me when I was working on Thriller. God, I swear. My mother, on the other hand, as much as she should've shunned me, she didn't. She knew it was just a song and a short film that I did, but she still felt a little uneasy about it."
"Who all in your family is still a Jehovah's Witness? Other than your mother, I mean."
"Well, um...shoot, I don't really know who still is. I know Jermaine isn't one anymore, I'm not, Janet might still be, I'm not sure. Rebbie is questionable, same with LaToya. Jackie, Marlon, Tito and Randy are the same. I'm not entirely sure who still is a Jehovah's Witness other than my mother."
"What about Joe?"
"Oh Joe, he might be. Just extremely inactive."
I giggled a little. "Well, that would be like Joe alright."
Michael giggled. "You're telling me." He put his arm around me and pulled me to him. "I can't wait until susunod week."
I smiled a little. "Neither can I. Oh and tomorrow, I'm gonna be going to my parents' house to try on the wedding dress my mom made for me."
"Can I come?"
"No. It's bad luck for the groom to see his bride's dress."
"Damn...whoa...never thought I'd use that word again after Off The Wall." He giggled and hit his head lightly.
I giggled and kissed his cheek. "This is really exciting, though. We have a daughter on the way, we're gonna be married...this is gonna be really exciting for us."
Michael looked at me. "What should we do for our honeymoon, though? Should we wait a bit before we go on one or what?"
I looked back at him. "It would make things different. We may have to wait...or our honeymoon can be just in a neighboring state."
"Where would we go?"
"Anywhere. We could go to Washington state, Nevada, Oregon, just anywhere in any state that's close by."
"Hm...good idea. And just watch, our daughter is gonna be born once we get back."
"Depending on how long we spend on the honeymoon, Michael. Most first honeymoons last at least 2-4 weeks."
He raised his eyebrow at me. "How do you know this?"
"I do my research." Suddenly, I felt madami movement and giggled. "She's moving again."
I put my hand on my stomach and Michael put his hand on mine and smiled. "I can't believe how close she is."
"She's 3 months away..." Then I felt a little kick. "Oh my goodness, she just kicked."
Michael gasped a little and felt another kick. "Oh wow, she kicked again."
I giggled. "My gosh, she feels like she's dancing in there with her movement and little kicks. I think she'll be like you."
Michael giggled a little and smiled. "Maybe, or maybe she'll be like you, Rebecca. Sweet and kind and a fast learner and creative."
I rolled my eyes and giggled a little. "You just described yourself, too, Michael."
Michael thought about what he had sinabi and giggled. "Seems like I did."
Once we got home, Bill helped us inside with our stuff. We got into the bedroom and noticed that everything was extremely clean and organized. It was just how Michael would want the room to be. Well, not only was our room clean and organized, but so were all the guest bedrooms, his downstairs half of his room, the whole house was clean and organized. Michael and I put our clothes away and I took out the souvenirs we had gotten in all the countries we went to. I had promised my family that I'd get them something from certain countries that matched up to them. Ricky was Japan, Dad was Germany, Mom was France, Eric was Spain and Alex was Korea. My family already had loads of stuff from Brazil when we had gone down there for a family reunion on my mom's side. (Me: Yes, my mom is really from Brazil. Sao Paulo, Brazil as a matter of fact. Near Baia lol.) Michael came over to where I was and wrapped his arms around my waist and looked at the souvenirs.
"I'm sure your family will pag-ibig them."
I looked at him and kissed him softly. "I hope they do. You like the stuff I got you so you wouldn't have to spend any of your money."
He giggled and kissed me back. "Yeah, I pag-ibig them. Just as much as I pag-ibig you."
I giggled a little. "I pag-ibig you, too."
I put the gifts down and went out of the room with Michael and into the kitchen. We decided to cook up something simple together so we could give his cooks a break for a bit. Veggies, rice, fried chicken and salad was what was on our menu. Once we finished cooking and ate what we could, we cleaned up our plates and went back into the bedroom. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth first, since Michael told me I could and it was his idea of saying 'ladies first'. After I got out of the bathroom, he went in and brushed his teeth, too. I never told him that I loved how he kept his teeth so clean and white. He had his regular dental check-up like everyone else had every 6 months and his teeth were always ones that would have a little sparkle in them whenever he would smile. Once he got out of the bathroom, he and I climbed into bed, after we changed into our pajamas and soon went to sleep.
The susunod Day
I woke up to smelling pancakes for some reason. I looked around the room and didn't see Michael. I got out of kama and put my magsuot ng bata on and exited the room, wondering where he could be. When I went to the kitchen, I saw Michael cooking breakfast. He told me he rarely cooked anything, but he always had this habit of making breakfast in the morning. Well, kinda had that habit. It started when we were in Japan, staying in a rental apartment instead of a hotel. It was actually nicer in the apartment than the hotel in Italy. I walked into the kusina and went up behind Michael, putting my hands on his sides. He jumped a little and looked behind him to see me, giggling a little. He giggled.
"God, Rebecca. Don't scare me like that." He said.
He wrapped his arms around me and I giggled. "I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist. You were cooking, so I had to do something else." I said.
I looked at the clock and saw that it was 10am and decided to put on an apron. Michael looked at me and raised an eyebrow.
"Are you sure you should be cooking while you're pregnant?"
"Why does it seem like I was gonna cook? I'm actually making something that runs in the family for the pancakes."
He was a little confused, but he finished cooking the pancakes and watched what I was doing. I was making a blueberry punungkahoy ng mepl syrup, something that was only made sa pamamagitan ng hand with fresh blueberries and punungkahoy ng mepl sap from a jar I brought with me from Spain. Michael had never seen anything like it before and he was willing to try it. Once I finished making it, I put it in a syrup jar and put its pourable tuktok on. I already had it before, so I was wanting to see Michael's face when he would try it. He got a couple pancakes onto his plate and took the syrup and looked at me.
"Is it gonna kill me?"
I shook my head. "No, it's not gonna kill you, Michael. Why would I kill you?"
"I don't know..."
"Just try it. You'll like it."
He poured the syrup on his pancakes and put the jar down. He took a piece of his pancakes with the syrup on them and ate it. His face was really priceless. His eyes went wide and he looked at me.
"How did you make this?? This tastes really good!"
"It's a secret. I can't tell you. Only family members know of the special syrup."
"I'm almost family, though." He giggled.
I giggled and rolled my eyes. "I know you are almost family, Michael. You'll get to know how I made it on our wedding day."
"Oh man..."
It just made me giggle madami how he would pout because he would have to wait until our wedding day. We both ate our pancakes and we put the rest of them in the fridge with the syrup and we spent the susunod 3 hours together. He was asking me if I could help him choose something to wear for the wedding. I told him that it was bad luck for even the bride to know what the groom is wearing, so I couldn't help him choose. He'd have to think like a groom. Some wear all white and some where a white sando with a black tie and a black suit. I'll have to wait and see what he would choose. I went back into the bedroom and changed to get ready to go to my parents' house to try on my wedding dress. During that time, our daughter was moving again and kicking a little. She really seemed to be dancing in my stomach. If she was, then what would she be dancing to? Whatever was stuck in my head...Billie Jean. Michael and I got out of the bedroom, after we changed, and headed out and Bill drove us to my parents' house.
At My Parents' House
Once Michael and I got to the house, I grabbed the bag of gifts for my family and turned to him.
"I should be about an oras or so. So you should get tahanan and find out what you'll be wearing, okay? Don't even think of sending me what you're wearing in a text, Michael." I said.
"Damn, you know me too well, Rebecca." He said, giggling a little.
I rolled my eyes and kissed him. "I'll call you once I'm done, okay?"
He kissed me back and smiled a little. "Okay. I'll be waiting for that call."
I got out of the car and waved at them while they drove off back to Neverland. I walked up the steps of my parents' house and let out a deep breath.
"Okay...here it goes."
I knocked on the door and waited a little bit, looking through the bag and looking at my stomach. Soon, my mom opened the door and saw me. She gasped a little and gave me a hug and I hugged her back.
"Hey Rebecca. It's been so long." She said.
"I know, mom. I know."
We released the hug and she led me inside. I looked around and saw that nothing really changed around the house. My mom led me up to the bedroom and she showed me the dress. I was in awe at how it looked. It was just the way I had explained it, even though she told me that she'd be making it how I had described it. I put the bag down on the kama and walked over to it, taking in every detail she put in it. There was a slight floral disensyo with the sewing at the bottom of the dress, little bulaklak on the edges of the netted shawl, even on the little crown for the veil.
"Oh my gosh...mom, this is beautiful!"
"I figured you'd like it. Well, let's have you try it on and we'll take some wedding model pictures of you."
I took off my sando and pants and she helped me into my dress. She zipped it up the back and helped me put the alampay on since it looked fragile and could possibly break bit sa pamamagitan ng bit if it was put on too quickly. She led me to the mirror, once I was done changing, and had me look. I was in pure shock. I could also tell sa pamamagitan ng the lighting, outside and inside, that the dress' fabric had a tint of red in different spots.
"Oh my...mom, I absolutely pag-ibig it."
"Oh hold on, sweetie. Just one madami thing to add."
I was confused, but no longer wasn't once she put the veil on my head and she put some of it in front of my face.
"Now what do you think, Rebecca?"
I about had tears in my eyes. "Oh my gosh, mom...I really pag-ibig it. It's just how I imagined it."
It was a good thing I wasn't wearing make-up, otherwise it would be running onto the dress and the veil. My dad and my brothers came in and they were in shock. They came up to me and told me how beautiful I looked and how pretty I was in the dress. They took out their cameras and took pictures and sinabi that they would also take some pictures of me and Michael before and the araw of the wedding. When I agreed to it, I was thinking that Michael and I never had an engagement litrato done before. He was technically almost fully rested up from the tour, almost fully adjusted back to our time in the states and set up for anything. So I told them that I would get back to them on what araw the pictures should be taken before the wedding. I then changed out of the dress and back into my clothes and they all felt the child ilipat inside of me. My family was excited that she was getting closer. I spent the whole oras with them, explaining about the tour and the gifts I got them. They really seemed to like them. Suddenly, my phone buzzed and I looked and saw that I got a text from Michael. I opened the text and read it. It said:
Hey baby, I just found what I'm gonna wear for the wedding. Like you said, I couldn't send it to you in a text. Anyway, are you done yet?
I texted him back, saying that I was just about done and he replied back that he and Bill would be there in a few minutes. A few minutos had passed and there was a knock at the door. Alex went to the door and answered it and saw Michael there.
"Here for Rebecca?" He asked.
"Yes I am, Alex. Is she ready?" Michael said.
I came up behind Alex and nodded. "Yes, I am ready, Michael. Oh, my parents are wanting to take our engagement litrato before the wedding araw and our wedding litrato on the wedding day."
"Really? I think that's great. We need something to have in the bedroom." He giggled.
I giggled and soon left with him back to Neverland, talking about our daughter and literally still thinking about what to name her.
4 Days Later
Michael and I followed my parents into the park, where it was closed off for us and they had us sit on the edge of the water fountain. In one picture, Michael was halik my cheek, another picture was him right behind me with his arms around me and his hands resting on my stomach. (Me: So it wasn't only engagement mga litrato being taken, it was also maternity pictures as well.) When the sun was setting, my parents caught the best picture of all: me and Michael sharing a halik at sunset. They sinabi once the pictures are printed and edited that they would label that one Sunset Kiss. Michael and I thought that it was a good idea and they sinabi that they would make a copy for us to have in our bedroom. Michael looked at his watch and saw that it was almost 9pm.
"It's getting late. We should be getting home. We have a big araw coming up." Michael said.
"Yes we do. Thanks, mom and dad. We really appreciate you two taking our pictures." I told them.
My mom and dad came up to us and hugged us. "It was no trouble at all. Be expecting those pictures, okay?" My mom asked.
"Okay. pag-ibig you two."
"Love you, too, Rebecca. And Michael..." My dad said, turning to Michael. "Be sure you do take good care of her."
Michael saluted my dad and my dad chuckled. "I will, sir. I promise on my death bed. She will be taken care of. Along with our daughter."
Then my parents left the park and Michael and I got into the car and Bill drove us home. We were excited to now have two sets of pictures taken. First set was our engagement mga litrato and the segundo set was the maternity photos. Then, on our wedding day, we'll have a third set...wedding mga litrato 'before' and 'after'.
Wedding Day
It was sad that last night, Michael and I had to sleep in different rooms. Well, actually, I was taken to my parents' house so Michael couldn't come see me when I woke up. I was at the garden venue with my mom, Kelly, Janet, LaToya, Rebbie, Megan, Crystal and Kathy. Kelly was in her flower-girl dress and Janet and the others were in their desired dresses. Megan was my Maid of Honor and she was gonna be a lucky one and walk down the aisle with Marlon. She's only met Michael, so she's lucky to get to meet his brothers and sisters that day. My mom took pictures of me with them before we headed out. I was nervous and felt like I was gonna cry because it only seemed like yesterday that I had gotten engaged. Katherine came into the room and brought the bouquet of white mga rosas and a single red rose in the middle of them and gave them to me. She put a hand on my shoulder and looked at me.
"You must be nervous, huh?" She asked.
I nodded. "Really nervous, Katherine. But...I am rather excited." I told her.
She smiled and gave me a hug and I hugged her back. "You'll do fine. Don't worry."
Then we heard the music playing. Katherine and I released the hug and she went out of the room with my mom after lining us up. We walked out and Kelly was first with her little basket of bulaklak petals. Brandon followed after her then it was Rebbie with Alex, LaToya with Ricky, Janet with Sean, Crystal with Jackie and Kathy with Jermaine. Megan then took Marlon's arm and they walked down the aisle together. I was so nervous and my dad could tell. He put his arm around my shoulder and I looked at him.
"You'll be fine. Just keep calm." He reassured me.
I nodded and took a deep breath and let it out. "Thanks, dad."
Then we heard Here Comes The Bride being played. I took my dad's arm and he walked me down the aisle and I saw what Michael was wearing. His black suit with a white sando and a black tie. He really looked professional and ready and I could tell that he was nervous, too. The priest that was up there was the same priest that did my exorcism, which shocked me a little bit. When my dad and I got part of the way to the alter, Michael was right susunod to my dad.
"Who is giving this bride away to the groom?" He asked.
"I, Roy, her father, am giving her away."
The priest nodded and my dad hugged me and gave my hand to Michael. Michael took my hand and smiled a little.
"You look beautiful, Rebecca." He whispered.
"Same goes to you, Michael." I whispered back.
I could tell he was still nervous. I was, too. We walked up to the alter together and looked at the priest, occasionally glancing at everyone.
"You all may now be seated."
Once everyone sat down, he started the ceremony.
"Today, we are gathered here to witness the coming together of Michael and Rebecca. First, before we start, does anyone have any objections to why these two should not be wed?"
Michael and I looked around with our eyes and didn't see anyone raise their hands, which lifted a lot of stress off of our shoulders and our minds. Then the priest started off on how our lives were before and after we met. I remember telling him about my life before I met Michael, but he didn't speak of it. He turned to Michael.
"Now for their vows. Michael? Would you like to start?"
"Okay. Um...Rebecca. Before we met, I was still in the rough stage of finding the right girl. When, on that first araw I met you at rehearsals for Smooth Criminal, I felt, in my heart, that you were the right one. My feelings for you had grown since then and they've now taken a part in our lives. You were the best girlfriend I had and I loved you dearly. I never went one araw without thinking of you...and now our child."
I felt a tear fall down my cheek and I wiped it away. 'I can't believe he sinabi that. It's so touching.' I thought.
The priest then turned to me. "Rebecca? Now it's your turn."
I nodded and turned to Michael. "Michael, long before we had met, I had always dreamed of meeting you. I wouldn't have ever thought that one day, we would get together and now we are getting married. This was one big step for us. Guaranteed there are times we fought because of incidents that happened, but we got over them quickly and realized that it was just some rumor about us. I had feelings for you since I first heard your voice on Off The pader and my feelings grew since araw one of the Smooth Criminal rehearsals. I pag-ibig you and no one is gonna change my mind. I never went a araw without you on my mind...same goes for our child."
Michael looked like he was about to cry himself and he dried his eyes.
"Now can the ring bearer come up?"
Brandon came up to us with the rings and we both took a ring.
"Michael, do you take Rebecca to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do." He smiled a little and slid the ring on my ring finger.
"And do you, Rebecca, take Michael to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
A tear fell down my cheek and I smiled, sliding the ring on his ring finger. "I do."
"I now pronounce you...husband and wife. You may lift the veil and halik your bride."
Michael lifted the veil over my face and put it over my head and he took my face in his hands and kissed me. I kissed him back and heard everyone cheering and some of them were crying. When Michael and I released the kiss, we looked at the bridesmaids and my Maid of Honor and saw that they were crying with Kelly. I even saw tears falling down his brothers' faces. I thought I saw something shimmer from Joseph, coming to find out that he cried, too! Michael and I walked back up the aisle and headed inside the church. Everyone got up and went inside to have the reception done.
In The Reception Room
Everyone was becoming real close mga kaibigan with each other, finding out things they never knew and everything. They saw Janet, Rebbie, LaToya, Kathy, Crystal and Megan come in with Kelly and Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Sean came in with Alex and Ricky. They got what they could to eat and the priest got up and headed over to the door.
"Everyone, can I have your attention please?" He asked.
Everyone turned to him and saw that he was about ready to open the doors.
"Can we please give a great big cheer for the new couple...Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Rebecca Jackson!"
He opened the doors and we walked into the room and everyone was clapping and cheering for us. There was one tradition that never failed and always got everyone wooing at the groom. They decided that before Michael and I would cut our cake, we'd do that first. So Eric got the chair for me to sit on and the boys got to one side while the girls watched what was gonna happen. I sat on the chair and Michael got on his knees and lifted the bottom of my dress and got under it, grabbed the garter with his teeth and pulled it off of my leg, making me giggle because it tickled. He giggled, took it out of his mouth and flung it at the boys to see who would catch it. To our surprise, Sean had caught it. (Me: Whoa boy lol. The groom pulling the garter off the bride's leg with his teeth and flinging it at the guys is the male version of the bride tossing her bouquet at the girls backwards.)
"Can we have the bride and groom come over to their cake?"
Michael got up and held out his hand to me. I took his hand and we walked over to our cake and I took the kutsilyo in my hands. I had no idea my parents were taking the pictures of this, too. Michael put his hands over mine and helped me cut the cake and get the piece onto the plate set out for us. I took the plate and we both grabbed a little fork and fed each other a piece of the cake. A definite tradition was what we did next. I took a piece of it and smeared it on his face.
"Hey!" He giggled and smeared some of the cake on my face.
I giggled and we helped each other clean off our faces. It was fun having to do that. I told him, when we sat down, that I always wanted to do that at my wedding.
"Well, now you got to and so did I."
I smiled and we got up and walked around, talking to the others and having our pictures taken. Joseph took a picture of me with my family with my hand on my stomach and my dad took a picture of Michael with his family. Then they both took one of me and Michael, both of our hands on my stomach and my head on his shoulder and his head on mine. I took one of him with my family and he and Ricky really seemed to be getting along better than the first time. Then he took one of me with his family with his brothers being silly and 'messing around' with me.
"Can the bride and her father come to the dance floor? They will share a dance with each other."
I smiled a little and went over to the dance floor with my dad and we danced to One araw In Your Life. Then it was me with Joseph dancing to I'll Be There. The final dance was me and Michael and we were dancing to I Just Can't Stop Loving You. When he and I stopped dancing, we heard everyone cheering.
"Gather around, girls!!" I said.
They gathered and I stood in front of them, my back to them and tossed the bouquet over my head. I heard them squealing and I turned around to see them looking at Janet, who caught it. I smiled at her and she smiled back. Michael and I told everyone that we'd be taking a road trip for our honeymoon vacation, going as far as we can go and everything.
After 2 Hours
Michael and I just got back to Neverland and he had carried me inside. He walked up the stairs and into the bedroom and closed the door with his foot. For someone of his size, he was rather strong carrying me, someone who is pregnant. But it made me giggle. He put me down on the kama and helped me sit up. He gave me a halik and smiled.
"Now we're officially married." He said.
I smiled and kissed him back. "Yes we are." I said.
He giggled and we both got up and started changing out of our wedding attire. Michael took off my alampay and unzipped the back of my dress. I turned to him and smiled.
"Thank you, Michael. I was gonna ask you to help me out of it." I giggled.
He giggled a little. "No problem, honey."
When we got into our pajamas, we got into kama and cuddled up to each other. The first night that we'd sleep together as husband and wife and not feel so weird about it like we were when we were dating and later when we had gotten engaged. I turned to Michael and smiled and he put his hand on my stomach.
"I can't wait until she's here."
"Neither can I, Michael. She's so close. Although, there will be times she'll attempt to send me to the hospital." I giggled.
"We should work on her mask when we get the chance."
"Done that."
"Huh?"
I turned to the nightstand and opened the drawer and took out the mask and showed him. "I already worked on it."
His eyes went wide a little and his jaw dropped. "Oh my God. It looks amazing."
I put it back in the nightstand and closed the drawer and turned back to him. I put my head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around me. "I pag-ibig you, Michael, you Smooth Criminal."
Michael looked at me and smiled and kissed my head. "I pag-ibig you, too, Rebecca, my own Liberian Girl."
I smiled a little at him. It was the first time he called me a Liberian Girl. I remembered when the tabloids would call me this Billie Jean that chased after him and put a spell on him. I always thought 'What spell? I don't know magic!' And I had thought back to one of the other tabloids that sinabi that I was only dating Michael to get to his money. I had money of my own, why would I even do that? I shook it off, knowing that it was just dumb and stupid stories that they came up with out of the tuktok of their heads. Michael and I closed our eyes and soon enough, we fell asleep.
