How? I mean he is Varden enemy No2 (right after Galbatorix) and even if Murtagh exacapes Empire, it wouldn't be ok if he and Nasuada just forget they were enemies. That would be bad writing.

I've read Inheritance! Finished today, in fact. =)

All right, just because he compared her to a princess and told her "You know why" doesn't mean he'll necessarily marry her! Maybe he had some feelings, but they weren't overwhelming, just strong enough to change his true name! Besides, have we ever come across a single phrase, or a word from Nasuada's POV which would show her love? We haven't! Her vision in Inheritance was just a trick, not future. There is NO chemistry, no friendship, no sign of true Soul Mate relationship between them! No genuine, deep feelings whatsoever.
Furthermore, forgiveness is a great thing, but I'm sorry, one can't fawn over a man who has tortured her in the past. Right, Murtagh had no choice, I get it, but Nasuada herself told him that she "could not forgive but she understood!" Physical scars heal, but mental and emotional ones may last forever.
So, both can remain secret friends and allies, but NOT lovers. They'll NEVER be happy together, sorry to disappoint Murtagh/Nasuada shippers. There are people who have different opinion on that matter and I'm one of them. It makes absolutely no sense to declare everyone as couple, while they clearly aren't. No offense but it's the truth.
I want Murtagh to be with someone else. A new important female character, for example a girl belonging to Grey Folk, a Witch, peasant or someone like that will be much better.
Nasuada may have another man who will give her a love and comfort she craves for.
Only then I'll enjoy reading epic romance development in Inheritance Cycle.
In real life, people break up peacefully, it's not the end of the world! Sometimes they're still friends.
The end of Inheritance was somewhat abrupt, but I'm sure we'll have more sequels.

P.S. I really hope Paolini will create new characters for both Murtagh and Nasuada, their true, authentic Twin Flames.

Eragon + Arya, Murtagh + ....., Nasuada + .......

P.P.S. And here's another thing : Murtagh still feels guilty for the harm he has caused Nasuada. He'll never forget that so easily. I'm not saying he won't recover, but this trauma may haunt him for the rest of his life.
All aforementioned problems show that two people aren't meant for each other, they need to move on after they've learned their life lessons. Murtagh has learned about compassion and sacrifice, Nasuada - about her need of love and understanding.
Now it's time to grow up, to find compatible partner. New relationship will help both Murtagh and Nasuada letting go their painful past, it will heal their deep wounds.
For Murtagh it would be a great chance to prove himself as a good man, far better than Morzan, who was harsh, uncaring and abusive.
